Klawzinski [0:00 - 0:18]: Foreign. In the case of nuclear or radiological fallout.
Gotfree [0:18 - 0:20]: People living around potential targets.
Klawzinski [0:25 - 0:29]: You shouldn't leave your shelter until officials say so.
Alex/Jake [0:32 - 0:45]: This is the emergency broadcast system. This is not a test. Repeat, this is not a test. Citizens are advised to take the following steps. Stay alert to news media events or local emergency alert notifications.
Dallas [1:00 - 1:07]: I know you thought that this got canceled, but look back on last episode of the big red button podcast.
Klawzinski [1:09 - 1:16]: Robo brain chassis, no brain outfitted with neural network that we called Philip.
Gotfree [1:16 - 1:21]: Oh, Philip. Great. You've assigned a name to you functional.
Alex/Jake [1:21 - 1:29]: Intelligent logic interface platform F I L. Oh, Philip. Oh, I got it. Yeah, it's. It's an acronym. That's clever.
Houston [1:29 - 1:30]: Do you have a Phyllis?
Gotfree [1:30 - 1:33]: Isn't Phyllis the name of Crazy Carls?
Klawzinski [1:33 - 1:38]: What is. What is Phyl? Do you know friend long time.
Alex/Jake [1:38 - 1:42]: Crazy Carl has the robot. That's who we're getting the fusion core for.
Klawzinski [1:42 - 1:55]: Security manager very dangerous man leave with secrets inside of robot named Philip. Head of security name Carlos Mendoza.
Alex/Jake [1:55 - 1:56]: What?
Gotfree [1:56 - 2:04]: What? Wait, when? Okay, sorry, sorry, sorry. When did he leave the vault?
Klawzinski [2:04 - 2:09]: He leave vaults approximate less than one year ago.
Gotfree [2:09 - 2:14]: Master Winger, how long has Carl been on the outskirts of Dostridge?
Dallas [2:14 - 2:19]: Yeah, he. He's been here for about 10, 11 months.
Gotfree [2:20 - 2:21]: Son of a one eyed a crazy.
Alex/Jake [2:22 - 2:29]: Carl could be Carlos Mendoza. And Phyllis could be Philip. Oh my God.
Klawzinski [2:29 - 2:34]: Officer Mendoza. Very manipulative, very dangerous.
Alex/Jake [2:34 - 2:58]: Well, I'll tell you what. This conversation was so normal that I'll probably it forever cuz it doesn't have any bearing on my life. I'll see you later, Carl. Bye. You know, now that you mention it, there were moments here or there that he did seem more like with it than others.
Dallas [2:58 - 3:10]: You're so sloshed out that you ain't going to remember nothing. You dummy. Remember what? You're not even going to remember that my name is Carlos men dozen. And that I've got secrets that the.
Crazy Carl [3:10 - 3:14]: Whole vault system needs to know and.
Dallas [3:14 - 3:16]: I'm gonna be letting out of here soon.
Klawzinski [3:16 - 3:29]: You guys have been good little boys. We meet at Harrison in two night times. I bring you weapons and help you with your cannibal problem.
Alex/Jake [3:31 - 3:41]: Welcome back to me. The big button that also russet.
Dallas [3:43 - 3:45]: That's how I get my voice ready.
Alex/Jake [3:46 - 3:47]: Mauve. No, no, no.
Houston [3:47 - 3:49]: This voice takes a lot out of me.
Dallas [3:50 - 3:51]: Is it mauve or mauve?
Alex/Jake [3:51 - 3:53]: It's mauve, of course.
Dallas [3:53 - 4:01]: Is it on? Hey, Arnold. They called it Mauve because he was the mauve avenger. Yeah, I remember. Do you remember that?
Gotfree [4:01 - 4:03]: Thank you for waking that memory up for me.
Dallas [4:03 - 4:11]: Dallas. I use that as a defense against mauve more than just this time, because.
Alex/Jake [4:11 - 4:19]: Hold on. Here's what we're gonna find out. First of all, this is the big red button. Welcome if you're here for the first time and we're doing our new spin.
Houston [4:20 - 4:22]: Off podcast, hey Arnold. Deep cuts.
Alex/Jake [4:22 - 4:24]: Yeah, hold on.
Dallas [4:24 - 4:27]: Hey, Arnold. Role playing game said in post apocalypse.
Alex/Jake [4:27 - 4:27]: Everyone ready.
Houston [4:29 - 4:32]: Down for a hey, Arnold, everyone.
Alex/Jake [4:33 - 4:34]: Here we go. Here we go.
Gotfree [4:35 - 4:36]: Mauve.
Alex/Jake [4:37 - 4:38]: Oh, what was that?
Dallas [4:38 - 4:40]: Yeah, well, that's not how hey Arnold says it.
Alex/Jake [4:40 - 4:41]: Or mauve.
Dallas [4:41 - 4:42]: Any of those guys.
Alex/Jake [4:42 - 4:44]: Well, mauve.
Houston [4:44 - 4:49]: Well, if hey Arnold says it, it's authoritative. That's just the way I live my life.
Dallas [4:49 - 4:51]: They all got together and they decreed.
Alex/Jake [4:53 - 5:04]: So according to Wiktionary, the UK says it mauve to rhyme with stove, and it rhymes with Pavlov in the American way.
Dallas [5:06 - 5:11]: Or it rhymes with stove. Or they did it on Canadian, so that way it rhymes.
Alex/Jake [5:12 - 5:18]: The Canadian and UK version or way of saying it is mauve the American.
Dallas [5:20 - 5:24]: And Scandinavian version, I think it might.
Alex/Jake [5:24 - 5:25]: Just be the American.
Houston [5:25 - 5:32]: I just googled the Mauve Avenger, and I'm like, memory on the core. Memory unlocked right there.
Dallas [5:33 - 5:41]: I think I'm good. There's gonna have to be some sort of mutant that is Arnold, and the mutation made his head really wide.
Houston [5:41 - 5:43]: 1,000%.
Dallas [5:43 - 5:50]: Yeah. But he's also, like, he's always in pain because his head isn't shaped correctly.
Alex/Jake [5:50 - 5:52]: Yeah. Wait, now I'm curious.
Dallas [5:52 - 5:58]: He's also a super. He's actually a secret superhero where he lives called the Mauve Avenger.
Alex/Jake [5:59 - 6:00]: You said it right.
Dallas [6:01 - 6:07]: Because the radiation also botched his tongue up, so he can't say move right.
Houston [6:07 - 6:17]: Also, he's an unintentional, like, cult figure. And one of the leaders is Helga Pataky because she has that shrine of gum.
Alex/Jake [6:17 - 6:20]: She's so far off. This is the big red button.
Dallas [6:20 - 6:25]: We're actually getting closer to the big bad guy. You guys are closer than you think.
Houston [6:26 - 6:32]: If Helga Pataky is the final boss in the show, this would work. That makes so much sense.
Alex/Jake [6:32 - 6:54]: We have so buried the lead here. Welcome to the big red button. If it's your first time here, we pushed it. We are constantly pushing the big red button of chaos. Tonight, Dallas, what do you have up your sleeve for the three of us?
Gotfree [6:54 - 6:57]: Straggling? What fresh hell is this?
Dallas [6:57 - 7:15]: I can't tell you what's to come, but I can tell you what has hints past for you three stragglers. The three stragglers we. We do have is the straggler of Christmas Past. Jake Winger.
Alex/Jake [7:16 - 7:23]: Yes. The Christmas past. If you don't get your shrap together, I will kill you.
Dallas [7:26 - 7:27]: Violent ghost of Christmas.
Alex/Jake [7:27 - 7:41]: I. I was stuck in. In a big old underground container where everything was kind of stuck in the past. So this makes sense. I don't know anything about the present or the future.
Dallas [7:42 - 7:43]: This is very true.
Alex/Jake [7:43 - 7:44]: That's me.
Dallas [7:44 - 7:53]: We have our robot who's possessed by the ghost of Christmas Present. Present got for you.
Gotfree [7:53 - 8:06]: Yes. It's nothing but feast and debauchery I got out of my vault. Jolly good. Yes. Eat, drink and be merry. I can't even get a good synthetic 5W for that. Here. Right here.
Alex/Jake [8:06 - 8:09]: Detailed off there at the end. I'm just gonna go with it.
Dallas [8:09 - 8:19]: Sure. It's the ghost. It's the ghost in the machine. And then we have the ghost of Christmas 200 years in the future. Houston McKinley.
Houston [8:20 - 8:39]: Look, I knew Charles Dickens way back in the day and I can tell you this whole story. This whole story. Let him have it. Was a psychedelic mushroom trip. There were no ghosts. Besides, I always sympathize with that Ebenezer Scrooge. He added. Right. You're only in it for yourself. And money is the best.
Alex/Jake [8:40 - 8:44]: And the big turkey at the end, you get a big turkey. I think that's how that works. No.
Houston [8:44 - 8:47]: He spent too much money on that turkey. You should have fired that Bob Cratchit.
Gotfree [8:49 - 8:51]: Don't think we've learned the right lesson from there.
Alex/Jake [8:52 - 8:53]: Wow.
Dallas [8:53 - 8:59]: In this version he just gets robots to do all of his work for him. And he got rid of all of his employees.
Houston [8:59 - 9:05]: Exactly like the dystopian hellscape that may or may not be reality that we live in.
Alex/Jake [9:06 - 9:11]: The only Tiny Tim I need is a microprocessor named Tim.
Dallas [9:12 - 9:16]: Now you guys are gonna come upon like a half crippled robotron later.
Alex/Jake [9:18 - 9:25]: Wait a second. We've got Clawzinski. The three of us are the ghosts of the Christmas from. Oh, no.
Houston [9:25 - 9:29]: Are you just putting the Rankin Bass specials in the fallout universe?
Dallas [9:29 - 9:34]: I have one trick. I have one trick. And it's only Christmas tropes. That's all.
Alex/Jake [9:35 - 9:42]: Some drunkard with a very red schnoz. And his name is Rudy. You know, like, hold on.
Dallas [9:42 - 9:58]: I'm have to scratch this out of this. Whoops. But you guys. Ghosts or not, you guys are not ghosts. You survived this long in the wasteland apocalypse.
Houston [9:58 - 10:01]: If only I was a ghost. I feel like I would feel less pain.
Alex/Jake [10:02 - 10:05]: But you are beautiful and beauty is pain. So you're doing great.
Dallas [10:05 - 10:15]: There you go. But the last Time you guys were. Were together was in a cave of.
Alex/Jake [10:16 - 10:17]: Yes, yes.
Dallas [10:17 - 10:28]: With Mr. Klazinski. And we. You guys had calmed Jake down. He is no longer under the influence of psychedelic mushrooms.
Alex/Jake [10:28 - 10:29]: Yeah, I feel much better than.
Dallas [10:29 - 10:50]: I feel like there was some. Some healing, some growing, some excreting. Who's to say? I'm not sure what. What happens with these mushrooms, but you learned a lot after this about one of your beloved friends. Yes, Crazy Carl.
Alex/Jake [10:50 - 11:04]: Yeah, we've been going to bat for Carl here for a long while, like putting our lives on the line here to, oh, we gotta protect Carl. And it turns out that Carl has been kind of the author of all of our misery.
Dallas [11:04 - 11:05]: Mmm.
Alex/Jake [11:05 - 11:06]: Not feeling this.
Dallas [11:07 - 12:06]: You never know who your friends are in the wasteland. But Mr. Blowfellow to our bond turned out to be Carlos Mendoza, who was the head of security in Vault 57. And he ran off with Phyllis, who was a robot in the vault and stole information that the scientists had been researching. And Kinski no longer has it, and it was very important to him. Then he also. You also learned that Carlos May had been in communication with other people when he left the vault. So that's where we're at. You guys talk to Mr. Kleczynski. He's gone to potentially requisition some sleds for the fight ahead. Maybe a sled.
Gotfree [12:06 - 12:07]: Spoilers.
Dallas [12:07 - 12:09]: A fighting sled.
Gotfree [12:09 - 12:09]: Great.
Alex/Jake [12:10 - 12:12]: An M1 Abrams sled.
Dallas [12:14 - 12:16]: It's an atomic sled.
Gotfree [12:16 - 12:19]: We're going to be some sort of explosive on it, isn't it?
Dallas [12:19 - 12:22]: Does your sleds not have explosives?
Alex/Jake [12:22 - 12:30]: And then we also learned about some kind of lighting system that the. The boys use in the treetops.
Dallas [12:30 - 12:40]: They do. They put very discreet lights in trees to signal where they are if they ever are separated.
Alex/Jake [12:40 - 12:43]: Very, very tall pines. Very tall pines.
Dallas [12:43 - 13:02]: Yeah. I don't know if you guys know this or not, but at night, red lights generally don't give away your position as well unless you're actually looking for. For them. So they usually go for kind of a red or a green light just to keep it tactical.
Gotfree [13:02 - 13:04]: You don't say.
Dallas [13:04 - 13:08]: Yeah, I told you. One trick pony here. That's it.
Alex/Jake [13:09 - 13:13]: What about the giant star on the top? Is that normal or do they think that just blends?
Dallas [13:14 - 13:18]: There's not a giant star. That's ridiculous. Who would do that?
Gotfree [13:18 - 13:19]: That would be ridiculous.
Dallas [13:19 - 14:14]: Ridiculous that nobody does that. That's not a thing. But you guys made a deal with Kinski that you guys would go link up with the super mutants that went to go protect Crazy Carl. Because they could be in grave danger. Because Carlos Mendoza is very dangerous because he was head of security. He was trained to fight, and he is very dangerous on his own. So dangerous that Kleczynski did not trust him with three super mutants. So you guys are supposed to be trying to link up with them industridge, if they're still. If they're even there to figure out maybe what has happened. And if they are, then you guys are gonna go north to Harrison and link up with Mr. Kleczynski. If you make it that far. If you don't die.
Alex/Jake [14:16 - 14:44]: So to break the fourth wall here for a second, this being our very first ever D and D campaign. I'm terrified of dying. Like, if you choose your own adventure, it was like, oh, if I die, I reset here. It's like, I don't want to screw up. So do we have any, like, what's our status? With luck points? I want everything in our favor as much as possible as we go in.
Houston [14:45 - 14:46]: We can always.
Alex/Jake [14:46 - 14:53]: Like, we can always. What's our status on our Personas here heading into this battle?
Houston [14:53 - 15:00]: And our game master can come up with the Fallout Afterlife, and we can find our way back. It's never the end.
Dallas [15:01 - 15:08]: You guys have to kind of walk around and possess anyone. You can only possess robots after this.
Gotfree [15:08 - 15:15]: And that's all I give no one permission. Consider this. This Robo.
Houston [15:17 - 15:22]: I am totally haunting Godfrey. I am totally possessing Godfrey's body.
Dallas [15:22 - 15:27]: Godfrey's got a lot of stuff in his storage, if you guys remember. He is.
Alex/Jake [15:27 - 15:27]: Oh, yeah.
Dallas [15:27 - 15:32]: He's packed a lot of things in there that you may or may not know what they are.
Alex/Jake [15:32 - 15:36]: Hey, Godfrey, can we do a little inventory check, see what's in there for a second?
Gotfree [15:36 - 15:38]: It's none of your concern. It's well protected.
Dallas [15:38 - 15:51]: That is something. That's highly offensive. Oh. Oh, they find that. Yeah. Mr. Handys are very private about what's inside their dome. It's almost like a religious kind of thing.
Gotfree [15:51 - 15:52]: Oh.
Houston [15:52 - 15:55]: So, Godfrey, will you show me your dome?
Alex/Jake [15:56 - 15:56]: Yikes.
Gotfree [15:57 - 16:01]: What was that? An impression? It was very good, if that's what you were going for.
Alex/Jake [16:03 - 16:11]: What are you doing? You know, like, 2:00am Text to Godfrey. Show me you've done.
Gotfree [16:12 - 16:16]: Yes. Game master, please give us our options. Tell us.
Dallas [16:16 - 16:22]: Absolutely. So, because you guys are new, I feel like you guys have been fairly conservative with.
Alex/Jake [16:22 - 16:23]: Yes.
Dallas [16:23 - 16:43]: Your resources, which is. Is a great thing to do. Whenever I play Fallout, I always. I never use anything outside of Stimpaks, so I have, like, thousands of different types of food and garbage. And other paraphernalia. Because I'm like, well, this might come in handy someday, and I never use it.
Alex/Jake [16:43 - 16:43]: Yeah.
Dallas [16:44 - 16:44]: Ever.
Alex/Jake [16:44 - 16:44]: Ever.
Gotfree [16:44 - 16:49]: Wait, so you're telling me the three categories of things that you collect? Your food, garbage and other.
Dallas [16:51 - 16:57]: Oh, you mean in the game? That was in real life. In the game, I collect lots of other things, yeah.
Gotfree [16:57 - 17:00]: Oh, sorry. Thank you for clarifying.
Dallas [17:00 - 17:02]: Radroach meat. All kinds. Yep.
Houston [17:02 - 17:16]: Just one of my first D and D campaigns. I slayed a dragon and took his head as a trophy. And I tried to use it, like, five weeks later, and the game master completely forgot that I had it and had to come up with something on.
Alex/Jake [17:16 - 17:32]: The fly, and it magically decayed in your pocket. Oh, bummer. Did he tied a hole in your pajama pants onto Santa's sleigh? The first gift of Christmas, Polar Express style.
Houston [17:32 - 17:35]: Dj, if you're listening, you're welcome.
Gotfree [17:35 - 17:42]: Wait, did he. Did he tie it to your neck like a dog to keep you from killing another one like they do with chickens?
Houston [17:44 - 17:48]: No, no, the killing. Killing the dragon was a pretty epic move.
Alex/Jake [17:48 - 17:55]: I really want, like. Hold on. That's the most country thing possible. I just went redneck. Godfrey.
Dallas [17:55 - 17:58]: Godfrey is also well versed in Appalachian lore.
Alex/Jake [17:59 - 18:10]: Did you tie chicken head to the dog? That way it would stop from killing another dog, or I mean, another chicken, and just like Appalachia. Godfrey.
Gotfree [18:12 - 18:15]: And after you killed the dragon, did they shove your nose in his excrement?
Alex/Jake [18:16 - 18:16]: I'm not a Mr.
Dallas [18:17 - 18:17]: Handy.
Alex/Jake [18:17 - 18:21]: Mr. Handy was my father. My pappy, you know, Mr.
Gotfree [18:21 - 18:21]: Handy.
Alex/Jake [18:22 - 18:24]: Just call me. Just call me Godfrey.
Dallas [18:24 - 18:28]: I would like to see a Mr. Handy playing banjo at some point.
Gotfree [18:29 - 18:32]: I'm rather proficient. Most people don't know that.
Alex/Jake [18:32 - 18:37]: Wait, Godfrey, can you give us a demonstration? Goes over to a random piece of like.
Gotfree [18:38 - 18:39]: Do you have a car?
Alex/Jake [18:40 - 18:43]: No, I guess over to the car, scrap and grabs a.
Houston [18:43 - 18:44]: One moment, please.
Gotfree [18:44 - 19:26]: And I. Like, I'm yanking fencing wire off the front, and I go over and I find an old whale. He's playing Beethoven, and I've cinched it together fine. Here's my makeshift benjo that I happen to be able to construct on the spot. Was that. Was that. Was that all right?
Alex/Jake [19:27 - 19:32]: Well, that was more like a bass guitar than a banjo, but I guess it'll do, you know, that's good.
Dallas [19:32 - 19:33]: Yeah.
Gotfree [19:33 - 19:36]: I just wasn't feeling the vibes for the other answer. It's okay.
Alex/Jake [19:36 - 19:37]: It's okay.
Dallas [19:37 - 19:46]: So did we just start a side quest where you were going to try to craft an instrument, but it also becomes a weapon? That you use sometimes now?
Alex/Jake [19:46 - 19:47]: Yes.
Dallas [19:48 - 19:53]: So instead of like an electric guitar that we call it an axe. You make a real axe. But it's banjo.
Alex/Jake [19:56 - 20:00]: I thought you were gonna say the side quest was that we were gonna go fight the devil down in Georgia.
Dallas [20:00 - 20:05]: But hey, I have to save something for the next time.
Alex/Jake [20:06 - 20:07]: But I have to figure out how.
Dallas [20:07 - 20:08]: To make that Christmas anyway.
Alex/Jake [20:08 - 20:22]: Dustridge, we are trying to track down. Damn it, man. We're trying to track down the other super mutants who are in the area that we already see here. Wait a second.
Gotfree [20:22 - 20:26]: We've already made it back down to. We've made it back down to Dustridge.
Alex/Jake [20:26 - 20:27]: We're almost there. We're almost there, buddy.
Gotfree [20:27 - 20:49]: We're almost there. Why are we continuing to wait? Hold up, Talis. What? I mean, game master. I mean, Overseer. I mean all Sovereign controller of everything in this world. What are our statistics? What are our luck points? Please explain our options before we dive into misery.
Dallas [20:49 - 21:04]: Musical prowess. You guys have something called action points, or ap. You can have a maximum as a group. Because this is a shared pool of points.
Gotfree [21:04 - 21:08]: I will be sharing a pool note or pool of points. Sorry.
Dallas [21:08 - 21:36]: So this pool of points is. You have eight of. And you can use these action points to do certain things, but you do have to burn these points to make these things happen. So according to the sacred texts, you can buy for one varying prices. But for one action point, you can buy an extra D20. So if you. You automatically get two, right?
Alex/Jake [21:36 - 21:37]: Okay.
Dallas [21:37 - 22:52]: Because it's a two D20. So if you need a third or a fourth. So the first one costs one, the second one costs two. And you can do that and burn a maximum of six points in dice, which something that you guys haven't had to do yet because things haven't gotten this hard is certain tasks that you may try to attempt are more risky. So they actually need more dice in order to have success. So picking a lock is like a level one standard. You just need one good roll, and you get two, right? You get two chances automatically if it's a level two difficulty. So maybe you're trying to jump over a fairly precarious hole in the ground. You would need two successes at the same time. And so in order to increase your odds, you may need more dice. But if you're trying to maybe shoot a raider who is holding one of you hostage, you may need three or four dice. So you would have to burn AP points in order to even have enough dice to do that risky maneuver.
Gotfree [22:52 - 23:02]: I keep wondering if these are some sort of like psychological slips. Am I going to have to pick a lock? Are we going to have to jump to Chasms? Is a rapier going to be holding?
Dallas [23:02 - 23:05]: That is all you're going to do this game.
Gotfree [23:05 - 23:12]: Pick knocks, jump Chasms, and rescue Master Winger from his captivity. Because it obviously will not be me. Me.
Houston [23:12 - 23:14]: Obviously. We have to rescue the princess.
Gotfree [23:17 - 23:23]: Hold on. Then I pop my hatch. Yeah. Master Winger, apply this burn sav. Right, Right.
Alex/Jake [23:23 - 23:27]: Every time. It's every time against me, you know, and honestly.
Dallas [23:27 - 23:28]: Got lots of burns.
Alex/Jake [23:28 - 23:28]: I get it.
Dallas [23:28 - 23:29]: Lots of oil.
Gotfree [23:30 - 23:30]: Thank you.
Dallas [23:30 - 23:51]: So you can also burn AP points during combat. You can burn one to take an extra minor action. So like reloading, moving something around, doing a thing. Or you can burn two action points and take another major action. So you could attack twice or do some sort of major thing.
Gotfree [23:51 - 23:54]: That was my nickname in Robot School.
Alex/Jake [23:54 - 23:55]: Robot School.
Dallas [23:55 - 23:56]: Major action.
Gotfree [23:56 - 23:57]: Major action.
Dallas [23:59 - 24:55]: And if you're using some sort of like melee weapon or you're throwing something, you can use action points up to three to have more damage dice so you can do extra damage. So if you're using a baseball bat or a rolling pin or a banjo, you could hit them up to three extra times by burning action points. You also have individually based on your luck score, which you guys have your character sheets. And you can also look at those in the. In the world you have as part of your specialness. Your specialness. You have luck points. You start out with however many you put in at the beginning, and you burn those as we play as well.
Gotfree [24:55 - 25:00]: And so are they ever regenerated or sit after.
Dallas [25:01 - 25:09]: After a milestone that the game master decides upon, those will regenerate. So let's say after a season.
Gotfree [25:09 - 25:12]: Oh, dear. He's referring to himself, the third person.
Dallas [25:12 - 25:20]: Again, you guys have been fairly conservative. The only person that has used those is Godfrey has used one.
Alex/Jake [25:21 - 25:24]: Okay. I think I've used a luck point early.
Dallas [25:25 - 25:30]: You probably did. So we'll Change that to 4. Thank you for your honesty. I took that away.
Alex/Jake [25:31 - 25:33]: I don't know. I think I definitely used one.
Dallas [25:33 - 25:41]: So probably after the mushrooms, that's what it was. He dropped. He just dropped one. He had it in his hand and he dropped it.
Alex/Jake [25:41 - 25:43]: Okay. All right.
Dallas [25:43 - 26:05]: So those you can add a details to a scene you can use your luck called. It's called stacked deck. You can use your luck score instead of one of your other attribute scores. So if your luck score is high and you're trying to do something that you're garbage at, you can use that score or you can roll reroll. If you screw something up really bad, you can re roll and burn a.
Alex/Jake [26:05 - 26:22]: Luck point, you know, and dear listeners, what you're about to realize is that Dallas is getting into the weeds on the rules right here because he's a. That's his nice way of saying you guys are screwed. Yeah, like that's really what's happening, right?
Dallas [26:22 - 26:24]: Laying there dying. You have options.
Alex/Jake [26:24 - 26:33]: You should have used your luck points, you gummies. Oh, thank you. So helpful. As I'm bleed out onto the concrete.
Houston [26:33 - 26:37]: What if I use the luck points as I'm bleeding out in the concrete?
Dallas [26:37 - 26:43]: Does that help? You can pour the luck points into the wound and inflict honey sad.
Gotfree [26:43 - 27:10]: It's like. Like Phoenix tears or so I've heard. Something like that. All right, so Pohenix. Thank you, Pohenix. Yes. We have established this little bit of law that is governing our movement. Now remind me which of our giant brethren went to crazy car.
Dallas [27:10 - 27:23]: Mm. Okay, so the chums, the brothers that were not with you were sloppy, snorty and stompy.
Houston [27:23 - 27:25]: Okay, good. Jeremy safe.
Dallas [27:25 - 27:32]: Yes. Well, he's with me. Yeah, Jeremy was with you. Grumbly was with you. Honkin was with you. And Munchie.
Alex/Jake [27:32 - 27:36]: Really, the only ones that we care about are with us. So, you know.
Gotfree [27:39 - 27:49]: I would like to talk to Jeremy. Ok. Ok. Jeremy. Jeremy. Dear sir, can I ask you a question?
Klawzinski [27:50 - 27:53]: Yes, you can ask question.
Gotfree [27:53 - 27:55]: Oh, thank you so much for your.
Alex/Jake [27:55 - 27:58]: It's been so long since we've talked to Jeremy. This is refreshed.
Klawzinski [27:58 - 28:00]: Yes. Me miss you.
Gotfree [28:00 - 28:09]: This. This luminance network of communication that's currently in the trees, how far to dustridge does it extend?
Klawzinski [28:09 - 28:19]: Depend on line of sight. Depend on where secret tree may be. But we do this all time. We see when no one else see.
Gotfree [28:19 - 28:28]: You see where no one else see is have you been trained in any sort of fashion to be looking out for these lights?
Klawzinski [28:28 - 28:28]: Always.
Gotfree [28:29 - 28:41]: Always looking out for the lights. So they're snorty, sloppy and stompy would be just periodically glancing over their shoulder, checking for incoming messages.
Klawzinski [28:42 - 28:45]: Yes. Standard operating procedure.
Gotfree [28:45 - 29:27]: Oh, perfect. We have to. Is there. Is there is the. Is the luminance communication? Is it functioning currently? Oh, yes, it is functioning. All right. So when I was working in the high security vault, there was a woman who I later found out was a type 2 schizophrenic. But she was constantly afraid that she left the stove on in her house. And she would walk into the vault and then be like, oh no, I left the stove on. And she'd go scurrying off and I Had thought that that was just some sort of excuse to get out of a situation because I started a conversation with her and she became agitated and a bit sweaty. I don't know.
Alex/Jake [29:27 - 29:29]: Where are you going with this?
Gotfree [29:29 - 29:45]: I think I'm rather pleasant to talk to. But is there a way Sloppy sound like he might be a bit accident prone. Is there a way to maybe send him a message that he left the stove on to give him cover in order to leave Coral.
Alex/Jake [29:45 - 29:49]: Wait, so you want to give him a lie? That way he can head home.
Gotfree [29:49 - 30:02]: Well, he would think it's true. We would know it's a lie. But he slobby. Is that. I mean, I don't want to be derivative with his name, but does that mean that he's a bit accident prone or he's messy?
Houston [30:02 - 30:07]: Not to break the fourth wall here, but this feels like something that has actually happened in your real life.
Gotfree [30:09 - 30:13]: Yes, I told you about it when I was in the vault. The lady had schizophrenia. Follow along, please.
Alex/Jake [30:13 - 30:34]: Okay, so you're asking if we can send a signal to Sloppy to say, go home and check on the oven or you left the water in the bathtub running. That way he can get away from Carl, who is actually Carlos Mendoza, a terrifying criminal, and escape. Is this right?
Gotfree [30:34 - 30:38]: Would leaving the oven on be enough to get all three of them away?
Alex/Jake [30:39 - 30:41]: It would have to be a really big oven.
Klawzinski [30:41 - 31:12]: So me stop you there First. First question. Sloppy name because he like eats slop and Sloppy Joseph sandwich also. So lights, they work a very specific way. When you. You make light, you only see that light if could see light where other person was. So we need see if we can see light at Dustridge. See if safe. If no safe.
Dallas [31:12 - 31:13]: We.
Klawzinski [31:13 - 31:17]: We make light for if they come back. If not dead.
Gotfree [31:17 - 31:31]: Oh, all right. But this is not like a network of lights where one is lit and then another is lit and then another is lit. And then I go running into Cap going, the beacons are lit. The beacons are light. Sloppy calls for aid.
Klawzinski [31:32 - 31:41]: No, only light. Light where at? Or to leave message a long way Blast. We need sneak close Dustridge.
Dallas [31:42 - 31:51]: I laughed, but I forgot I still had my voice thing on. So there was no subtle way for me to laugh without it sounding.
Alex/Jake [31:54 - 32:26]: All right, all right. So what I understand is there's not. It's either lights are on, lights are off, and it just means be on high alert or don't be on high alert. That's basically. It's ones or zeros. I mean, God, for you to understand that it's very binary here Ones or zeros light on, light off. And if the lights are on in dustridge or we're lighting the light for dustridge, then they should be concerned. But it doesn't mean bail necessarily, right?
Klawzinski [32:26 - 32:44]: Yes. If sea light in dustridge means safe light go off if not touched in long time. So if dead or gone light be gone. So if we sneak to algae outskirt of dustridge, may be light maybe. No.
Alex/Jake [32:44 - 32:57]: Oh, so if there is light, it means that someone is tending to the light and that it's safe. And if the light has gone out, it means that you all haven't been tending to the light.
Gotfree [32:57 - 33:03]: No. So if we approach dustridge and the light is not on, that's an ominous.
Klawzinski [33:03 - 33:18]: You know, if safe. If one one, if by land two. If you cross eyes then see two. That saying.
Houston [33:19 - 33:20]: But what if every light in the.
Klawzinski [33:20 - 33:23]: House is on, then fire and bun.
Alex/Jake [33:23 - 33:26]: How far out from Dustridge are we right now?
Klawzinski [33:26 - 33:30]: Just. Just over hill. Then we close to Dustridge.
Alex/Jake [33:31 - 33:37]: Okay. I. Am I able to see if there's a light by looking or is it only a skill that a super mutant.
Klawzinski [33:37 - 33:45]: Has skilled super mutant. Or if you pretty good at seeing, maybe surviving.
Alex/Jake [33:45 - 34:01]: Can I. Can I give a try to see if we can spot the lights and if not, I mean, I'm sure someone else in our party has very good low light visibility with sensors and whatnot. But. But that's just. I don't know, I'm just thinking out loud here. But I would. I would love to try and see.
Klawzinski [34:01 - 34:07]: You can try. Maybe crawl on belly to top of hill and let us know if safe.
Alex/Jake [34:07 - 34:16]: I dropped to the ground right here on the pavement and I just start army crawling one arm over the next. All right, guys, I'm gonna go crawl up the hill.
Klawzinski [34:16 - 34:24]: Little peanut. You can. You can walk most way big hill that long time on belly.
Alex/Jake [34:25 - 34:27]: Oh, you're right. You're right. Maybe it will count.
Klawzinski [34:27 - 34:29]: But not necessary.
Alex/Jake [34:29 - 34:30]: Okay. Yeah. So.
Gotfree [34:30 - 34:31]: All right.
Klawzinski [34:31 - 34:32]: It's okay, little peanut.
Alex/Jake [34:32 - 34:44]: I start walking up the hill. Okay. I can almost see over the top of the hill, guys. I get really low and I crest over the top.
Gotfree [34:44 - 34:48]: I'll be getting our first roll of the first roll.
Alex/Jake [34:48 - 34:50]: First roll, first roll.
Gotfree [34:50 - 34:51]: First roll, first roll.
Alex/Jake [34:51 - 34:54]: First roll. First roll, first roll. All right, so I crawled.
Dallas [34:54 - 34:55]: Jacob Winger.
Alex/Jake [34:56 - 34:59]: Ooh, I'm a Jacob now. I always thought I was just like.
Dallas [34:59 - 35:04]: A Jake, only I was using the formal usted.
Alex/Jake [35:05 - 35:06]: I understand.
Houston [35:07 - 35:10]: Jacopolis. Yes. Wingness.
Dallas [35:11 - 35:23]: So I'm going to need you to. We will call this one a perception and a survival okay, so in perception.
Alex/Jake [35:23 - 35:30]: I have five, and in survival, I have three. So I need an eight.
Dallas [35:30 - 35:35]: This is going to be difficulty two task.
Alex/Jake [35:35 - 35:39]: Oh, so I need to win both roles here.
Dallas [35:39 - 35:50]: Yes. Or you could spend AP points to ensure the cheese. I. I cannot.
Alex/Jake [35:50 - 35:51]: Here we go.
Dallas [35:51 - 35:53]: Hide how the dice will roll.
Alex/Jake [35:53 - 35:57]: Here we go. I'm rolling a 14.
Dallas [35:58 - 35:59]: And what did you need?
Alex/Jake [35:59 - 36:13]: I needed an eight. I got one eight right there. So I got. Maybe. Maybe if I squint, I can. Yeah, that might just be a floater.
Dallas [36:13 - 36:17]: So you. You squint, and you may be a floater, and we cannot trust a floater.
Alex/Jake [36:17 - 36:20]: All right, so. So I'm gonna yell down the hill to Godfrey. Godfrey.
Dallas [36:20 - 36:23]: You're gonna yell? You crawled all the way up the hill.
Gotfree [36:25 - 36:26]: Idiot.
Alex/Jake [36:27 - 36:31]: We're, like, several miles away, are we not? Or is it just, like, right on the other side?
Dallas [36:31 - 36:35]: I mean, you did get on your belly to ensure nobody saw you for you.
Alex/Jake [36:35 - 36:43]: Yeah. So I very loudly whisper yell. What?
Gotfree [36:45 - 36:47]: Fine. Do I have got to do everything?
Alex/Jake [36:47 - 36:51]: And I gesture. I do. I'm like. I rolled over. I'm on the ground still.
Gotfree [36:51 - 36:53]: And so I just kind of tuck.
Alex/Jake [36:53 - 37:00]: And roll over onto my back, but I'm, like, held in like a dead bug a little bit. I do this little, like, get.
Gotfree [37:00 - 37:01]: Get up here. Get.
Alex/Jake [37:01 - 37:02]: Kill.
Dallas [37:02 - 37:04]: So how does Godfrey sneak?
Alex/Jake [37:05 - 37:07]: He just toddles real close to the.
Dallas [37:07 - 37:13]: Ground, and then turn his thruster off and just, like, ting, ting, ting, ting, ting, ting, ting, ting with his arms.
Gotfree [37:15 - 37:18]: Why don't you make me roll for it, sir?
Dallas [37:18 - 37:28]: Oh, do you want to roll a sneak? Let's do a sneak roll. Ooh. All right, well, so you have a five inch sneak.
Gotfree [37:28 - 37:30]: So what does that mean?
Alex/Jake [37:31 - 37:33]: Just got to get sneaky up the hill.
Dallas [37:33 - 37:55]: You got to get. Yes. Sneakily up the hill. So your sneak is a five, and we will use your agility, which is a seven. So you're a very sneaky robot, which I should have done before and made Mr. Winger roll his because he has an agility of five and a sneak of zero.
Gotfree [37:56 - 37:57]: That would have been hilarious.
Dallas [37:59 - 38:01]: It would have. He would have broke an ankle on the way up there.
Alex/Jake [38:01 - 38:02]: That's why I yelled down the hill.
Gotfree [38:03 - 38:10]: That's why you yelled down the hill like a cut free. Godfrey, get up here.
Houston [38:11 - 38:11]: Get up here.
Gotfree [38:12 - 38:18]: Oh, I rolled four. But this is a double dublay difficulty correctly.
Dallas [38:18 - 38:21]: No, this one's not a. This one's not a double. No, this one's not a double.
Alex/Jake [38:21 - 38:23]: Oh, thank goodness.
Gotfree [38:23 - 38:25]: Perception was double difficulty.
Alex/Jake [38:25 - 38:33]: But wait, it is a 2D20. And fine, we know the Rules mean you have to roll.
Dallas [38:33 - 38:48]: You still have to roll another one. So if you roll a. A one, you get. You would have gotten an action point, but you're in full capacity. But if you roll 20, who knows what might fall off of your. Your clunky body.
Gotfree [38:48 - 38:52]: Well, let's. Let's roll another one for gears and pistons. Why not?
Dallas [38:52 - 38:53]: Gears and pistons.
Crazy Carl [38:55 - 38:56]: Oh, wow.
Gotfree [38:56 - 38:57]: What?
Alex/Jake [38:57 - 38:57]: That's.
Gotfree [38:58 - 38:59]: What were you saying?
Alex/Jake [38:59 - 39:01]: I would like to use one of our action points.
Dallas [39:03 - 39:05]: Why? Oh, just.
Gotfree [39:05 - 39:13]: Oh, wait, so I can get another one. Well, I rolled a natural one. I'm. I'm not bragging, but I'm not not.
Alex/Jake [39:13 - 39:15]: Wait a second. Do you all hear that?
Houston [39:22 - 39:24]: That doesn't exist in this timeline.
Alex/Jake [39:24 - 39:24]: Rolling.
Dallas [39:27 - 39:37]: He actually. He popped the compartment out and he stuck his arms in it and got oil on them and oiled himself up so that he made zero pounds.
Houston [39:37 - 39:39]: And he runs very iconically.
Dallas [39:39 - 39:53]: Yeah, so you just heard a. That's it. And yeah, he is also. He is also now slightly camouflaged because of the. The oil and the junk that he rolled through.
Houston [39:53 - 39:55]: And for some reason, as a Scientologist.
Gotfree [39:55 - 40:00]: Now it just Master Winger blend into the trees.
Alex/Jake [40:00 - 40:06]: He ran so fast. He can fly airplanes. It's amazing what the church did for.
Dallas [40:06 - 40:12]: He's very camouflaged. Like he. He rolled all the way up to Jake and Jake didn't know that he was beside him.
Alex/Jake [40:12 - 40:14]: So I'm just laying there in the grass.
Gotfree [40:19 - 40:20]: What did you want?
Alex/Jake [40:21 - 40:43]: I need. Well, a new heart now that you give me a heart attack. Very slowly, look over at Dustridge now. No, no, no, stay put. Don't. Don't go over the hill. Stay, but look over the hill. Use your fancy camera sensors to see if you can see in the dark to pick up on the lights that. That the. The super mutants did.
Gotfree [40:44 - 40:47]: Yes. Go go Gadget eye stalk.
Dallas [40:48 - 40:54]: And remember, one of your eye stalks is an old timey camera because it got blasted off at some point.
Gotfree [40:54 - 40:56]: Well, yes, but have you seen the aperture on that sensor?
Alex/Jake [40:57 - 41:08]: But same joke every time and it doesn't get old. Quit showing people your apertures and use your apertures to try and see a light bulb.
Houston [41:08 - 41:13]: Are you guys okay up there? Do you need to take off the lens cap?
Gotfree [41:13 - 41:14]: No.
Alex/Jake [41:14 - 41:15]: Do not encourage this.
Gotfree [41:15 - 41:18]: All right, I'm looking. I'm looking for the light.
Dallas [41:18 - 41:26]: Yes. So I'm gonna need you to roll. And we're looking for four A Perception plus survival.
Alex/Jake [41:28 - 41:30]: He rolled a one. He rolled a one.
Dallas [41:30 - 41:33]: So you have to roll two because this is a very hard.
Houston [41:35 - 41:38]: So much he transcends to the next.
Alex/Jake [41:38 - 41:41]: Dimension from here on out. Godfrey, please.
Dallas [41:41 - 41:49]: I didn't know if you could, like, cheat with the dice on fantasy grounds, but here we are.
Alex/Jake [41:49 - 41:50]: Excuse me.
Gotfree [41:50 - 41:55]: I'm so skilled, I'm pretty sure I don't have to roll the second one if I get a natural one.
Dallas [41:55 - 42:02]: Let me consult the ancient texts. One means bad now. Oh.
Alex/Jake [42:02 - 42:04]: Oh, sure it does.
Dallas [42:04 - 42:09]: Just kidding. Just kidding. You're right. Wow. I could have lied.
Alex/Jake [42:09 - 42:10]: I didn't have to roll again.
Dallas [42:10 - 42:11]: I could have just straight lied.
Alex/Jake [42:11 - 42:12]: Done. No, done.
Gotfree [42:12 - 42:17]: I don't have to roll again. That's what we call a critical role, thank you very much. Don't.
Dallas [42:17 - 42:17]: Trademark.
Gotfree [42:17 - 42:21]: Sorry. Sorry, sorry, sorry. Don't su serious.
Dallas [42:22 - 42:32]: So, yeah, so we'll count that. So you in your camouflage state, start whirring and zooming and purring. Yes.
Alex/Jake [42:32 - 42:41]: A tag. That's the little red dots next to it, right? Yes, I have a tag sneak, but I have zero points on it. So what would that be?
Dallas [42:42 - 42:47]: If you roll a one or a two, it counts as a critical success.
Alex/Jake [42:47 - 42:48]: Beautiful.
Dallas [42:48 - 42:54]: Okay, but you rolled a 14 and an 8, so we didn't have to worry about that.
Gotfree [42:57 - 43:05]: The irony of me not being able to see through my own glasses is I'm rolling perfect ones and perception is not lost on me.
Dallas [43:06 - 43:09]: That was an 11. What? Oh, no.
Gotfree [43:09 - 43:10]: It was an 11.
Houston [43:13 - 43:15]: So what do you all see up there?
Dallas [43:15 - 43:28]: He starts purring and whirring, and he, like. Something cracks loose on this old camera and he can really zoom in. He ran out of gut.
Alex/Jake [43:32 - 43:38]: Is that steam coming out of your ears? Oh, did you see the Mayor? You saw the Mayor, didn't you?
Dallas [43:39 - 43:43]: Oh, yeah, I forgot. His infatuation with the Mayor that we haven't seen in a long time.
Alex/Jake [43:44 - 43:46]: Horned up for the Mayor in all.
Dallas [43:46 - 43:52]: The best ways, but also maybe the jailer. We weren't real sure. We were not sure.
Houston [43:52 - 43:53]: He gets around.
Gotfree [43:56 - 43:59]: It's because. What do I perceive? Please, what do I perceive?
Dallas [43:59 - 44:32]: You perceive. I didn't know if you wanted to contribute to your appetration. So you zoom in and you see glowing faintly, just the faintest, glowing on and glowing off of a pulsing red light and a pulsing green light in what you can clearly make out nestled in a tree, kind of out of the way, where nobody, unless you were really looking for it, unless you knew what you're looking for, you wouldn't even notice it, it's so faint.
Gotfree [44:32 - 44:33]: Godfrey.
Houston [44:33 - 44:35]: Godfrey. Godfrey.
Gotfree [44:36 - 44:36]: Godfrey.
Houston [44:36 - 44:37]: Godfrey.
Gotfree [44:37 - 44:38]: What?
Alex/Jake [44:38 - 44:39]: What do you say?
Gotfree [44:39 - 44:46]: The light. Master winger. And much like they are inside your brain, they're on, but no one's home.
Klawzinski [44:46 - 44:51]: Hey, little Peter 1010, man do. What do you see?
Alex/Jake [44:51 - 44:53]: I think he sees the lights.
Gotfree [44:53 - 44:55]: Can we please go down the hill before we're seeing?
Alex/Jake [44:55 - 44:59]: Oh, okay. So I start to Hawkin.
Klawzinski [44:59 - 45:07]: He sees. He says, see lights. They safe. I think we can go now. Let's back up. I don't think we have to whisper anymore.
Alex/Jake [45:07 - 45:09]: Wait, we don't have to whisper anymore?
Dallas [45:09 - 45:16]: Well, he was whispering, and he was letting him know they may not have to anymore because he was whispering.
Alex/Jake [45:16 - 45:17]: Oh, okay.
Gotfree [45:17 - 45:18]: That was a whisper?
Dallas [45:19 - 45:32]: Yes. Their voice boxes are actually inverted, so the quieter they try to be, sometimes it's louder. They can't help it. And to bring it up is a huge cultural issue.
Gotfree [45:33 - 45:42]: No, bring it up again. Won't bring it. You don't touch my dome. I won't comment on your vocal cords. All right. Okay, we're clear. Everyone clear. Thank you.
Houston [45:42 - 45:44]: I really want to know what's in that dome.
Dallas [45:46 - 45:55]: So you guys gather up and pack up your stuff. As you're kind of scampering a boot.
Alex/Jake [45:55 - 46:10]: I very, very slowly make my way down the hill. Godfrey, how did you do this? I'm army crawling backwards. Like slithering like a snake downhill. It's a lot harder when it's foot first. I don't like it.
Houston [46:11 - 46:19]: Jake. Jake. Ironically enough, there were some stairs there by that hill that you could have just walked up this whole time.
Alex/Jake [46:19 - 46:32]: I very slowly turned to my right, and there's like, this very old, beat up concrete path from, like, maybe a park back in the before times. I just, like, sit up.
Gotfree [46:33 - 46:33]: What?
Dallas [46:34 - 46:34]: Why didn't.
Alex/Jake [46:34 - 46:37]: Why didn't you tell me? I army crawled up the hill.
Houston [46:38 - 46:39]: Yeah, and it was hilarious.
Gotfree [46:42 - 46:44]: I could verify. It was very entertaining.
Alex/Jake [46:44 - 46:55]: So I just stand up and I walk over to the stairs and I just. Just grab the old rusted handrail and Thanks a lot, guys.
Gotfree [46:55 - 46:58]: Congratulations on your tetanus.
Alex/Jake [47:00 - 47:01]: Well, I got a shot for that. We're good.
Houston [47:01 - 47:02]: It's a great game.
Dallas [47:04 - 47:09]: So you guys now have to make a decision. What do you guys want to do?
Alex/Jake [47:10 - 47:28]: Well, the lights are on, so no one's all right. I would like to ask a question that will require. Can an action point reveal common knowledge for the entire group?
Dallas [47:28 - 47:33]: Game master, that's. You have to use luck points to add details to the scene.
Gotfree [47:34 - 47:51]: First of all, what is our objective here? Are we trying to retrieve the research that may or may not be buried inside of Phyllis? Are we trying to murder Karl and actually give Houston his desire? Are we going to turn him loose with the bat?
Alex/Jake [47:53 - 48:06]: Well, the last we checked, we know that Phyllis has Not been active since he left. Like we know that he wanted us to get a fusion core for Phyllis for Napoleon.
Gotfree [48:06 - 48:07]: Various purposes.
Alex/Jake [48:07 - 48:30]: Right, right, right, right, right. But Phyllis would be deactivated right now. And if she's the murderous robot that was in the vault, went back when he was Carlos, then maybe we have enough force that we could go, you know, subdue Carlos Carl, and not be worried on our own.
Gotfree [48:31 - 48:38]: How much of his bathtub hooch do you think he's consumed for fear of these cannibals?
Alex/Jake [48:38 - 48:43]: Here's a follow up question. He wouldn't know that we know anything about him.
Gotfree [48:43 - 48:46]: We have the element of surprise, right?
Houston [48:46 - 48:48]: He wouldn't know that we know that we know we.
Alex/Jake [48:48 - 48:54]: We know he knows he doesn't know that we know that he knows that we know.
Houston [48:54 - 48:55]: You know.
Alex/Jake [48:55 - 48:59]: I'm playing into friends here just for you, Cody. I hope you know that.
Houston [48:59 - 48:59]: Thank you.
Alex/Jake [48:59 - 49:05]: I appreciate that you know that I know that you knew that we knew that they. Okay, I don't even know anything.
Gotfree [49:05 - 49:06]: Having an aneurysm.
Alex/Jake [49:06 - 49:07]: I. I was having an aneurysm.
Houston [49:07 - 49:09]: No one told me life was gonna be this way.
Alex/Jake [49:10 - 49:15]: Everyone, huddle up, huddle up, huddle up. Stompy and Grumply and everybody comes over.
Houston [49:15 - 49:17]: I don't huddle, nor do I cuddle.
Klawzinski [49:17 - 49:18]: What's the plan?
Alex/Jake [49:18 - 49:23]: Here's what I'm thinking, guys, and tell me if. If you think I'm crazy. Er, the normal.
Klawzinski [49:23 - 49:24]: You're crazy.
Houston [49:24 - 49:24]: Yes.
Alex/Jake [49:24 - 49:27]: Er, than normal. Er, the normal.
Klawzinski [49:28 - 49:29]: Sorry, peanut.
Houston [49:29 - 49:30]: We saw the trip.
Alex/Jake [49:30 - 49:33]: Yeah, well, okay, that's out of the system. I've been thinking.
Gotfree [49:33 - 49:35]: Don't touch yourself.
Alex/Jake [49:35 - 49:37]: Let me finish.
Gotfree [49:37 - 49:38]: All right.
Alex/Jake [49:38 - 50:38]: Carl doesn't know that we know that he's Carlos. So what if we split up as we reach the outskirts of town? We know that it's safe enough because the beacon's lit. If we go in, act like everything's normal with Carl and let Jeremy and Honkin and all of you all surround the building. Then once we figure out if Carl is safe, we can signal to them with like a. Or something. I don't know. We'll play it by ear. That way they can charge in and save us if we need it. Otherwise, we may be able to get in there unscathed and subdue him. Maybe we spike his drink or something. What do you all think? Because Carlos doesn't know, or Carl doesn't know that we know he's Carlos, we're just coming back home.
Gotfree [50:38 - 50:46]: This is true. Do. Do we have anything in our. What. What is the rough size of A fusion core.
Alex/Jake [50:46 - 50:49]: About the size of a loaf. A small loaf of bread.
Gotfree [50:49 - 51:16]: Do we currently have anything in our inventory that is roughly that size or shape? Is. Is there something that we could disguise as a fusion core? We bring it in and to celebrate we get Carl blackout drunk on his bathtub hooch. We don't have to subdue him through any sort of physical prowess. We just get him inebriated.
Alex/Jake [51:16 - 51:30]: Wait a second. Do any of you all super mutants have a used fusion core? That way he could put it into Phyllis and be like woohoo. But in reality it's like it's just a dead battery, so it wouldn't do anything for her.
Dallas [51:31 - 51:49]: So Jeremy is like checking his pockets and he can't really find anything. So he turns to look at the other guys and as he's looking around, he looks at Honkin and. Honkin, you didn't even know that they could blush. But he. He kind of blushes.
Gotfree [51:50 - 51:51]: Honkin.
Klawzinski [51:51 - 51:54]: Honkin. What do with old fusion core?
Gotfree [51:54 - 51:55]: Where did you put it?
Klawzinski [51:55 - 52:12]: I. Sorry Jeremy. I. There was big dog came by and I got scared. Me throw old fusion core scared dog away. Honkin turn out not even real dog, but break old fusion core.
Gotfree [52:13 - 52:13]: Sorry.
Klawzinski [52:13 - 52:15]: Honkin got scared.
Gotfree [52:15 - 52:32]: Well, there's a flaw in the plan anyway. Because if we approach with a fusion core, whether or not it works, the first thing Carl's going to want to do is to put it in Phyllis and wake her back up. And if we give him a busted one and he puts it in Phyllis and she doesn't wake back up, then there's no celebratory hoot to get him inebriated.
Alex/Jake [52:32 - 52:34]: That's. That's good. That's a good point.
Klawzinski [52:35 - 52:36]: We have. Me have idea.
Alex/Jake [52:36 - 52:37]: I'm all ears, buddy.
Klawzinski [52:38 - 52:57]: Me and boys can't be seen by Carlos. Carlos no jig is up if see us, right? Because we know Carlos. We hide, we make bird sound, get other brothers to us. You distract Carlos.
Alex/Jake [52:57 - 52:58]: Uh huh.
Klawzinski [52:58 - 53:00]: We pounce like cat.
Gotfree [53:00 - 53:12]: Wait, wait, you. You knew Carlos before? Wouldn't Sloppy, Stompy and Fidgety, whatever his name was, wouldn't they also know?
Klawzinski [53:12 - 53:21]: Yes. So either Carlos gone or they kill Carlos or hide from Carlos. They hear hiding maybe.
Alex/Jake [53:22 - 53:34]: Okay, so we have to hope that they're in hiding or I mean it's very morbid. Or that they've killed Crazy Carl. Los. Alright, that's our. That's our path forward. We have to do this.
Klawzinski [53:35 - 53:44]: Okay? Wait till you hear me make bird sound, then go to Carlos. You make bird sound, we pounce like cat.
Alex/Jake [53:45 - 53:47]: Are we still getting Carl drunk?
Klawzinski [53:47 - 53:51]: If Ken, we make sound. My cat.
Alex/Jake [53:52 - 53:54]: Talk through what you're doing with her.
Gotfree [53:54 - 53:58]: Can you do it one more time? Just one more time like this?
Dallas [54:05 - 54:29]: So he's raising his hands and kind of like doing a pouncing like a kitten. Not really like a big cat, but then he finds a rock and starts playing and kicking it around, like, on his side, like a cat would do. And he's, like, really into it. Like, it's making a lot of thumping sound because he's a big guy and he's really into this cat thing.
Alex/Jake [54:29 - 54:31]: Jeremy. Jeremy. Jerem.
Houston [54:31 - 54:35]: He's been into this so long, he forgot it was an audio medium.
Gotfree [54:36 - 54:42]: Jerem, I'm pretty sure you called those boops. You're booping it. Boop.
Alex/Jake [54:42 - 54:51]: Sorry, Jeremy, I love you as your little peanut and all, but we have to get into town, so let's rock and roll.
Dallas [54:51 - 54:52]: Yeah. Yeah.
Klawzinski [54:52 - 54:54]: I give Peanut a little boop.
Gotfree [54:54 - 54:55]: Oh, never.
Alex/Jake [54:55 - 55:04]: Now his finger's the size of, like, an entire fist. And as he goes to touch my nose, it just like. It, like, hits like, a ton of bricks.
Houston [55:04 - 55:06]: Like, and it's.
Dallas [55:06 - 55:09]: And it's a little wet for no reason. Reason.
Alex/Jake [55:09 - 55:10]: Oh, my God.
Dallas [55:10 - 55:10]: I think.
Alex/Jake [55:12 - 55:17]: I think my nose is bleeding now. You. You can't poop somebody like that, dude. Sorry.
Klawzinski [55:17 - 55:18]: I give you a little boop.
Gotfree [55:18 - 55:18]: Sorry.
Klawzinski [55:19 - 55:19]: The boop too hard.
Alex/Jake [55:19 - 55:20]: Oh, my eyes are water.
Klawzinski [55:21 - 55:25]: You're just so cute, though, Peanut. You just. Kitty cat. Peanut.
Houston [55:25 - 55:31]: What? He doesn't. What he doesn't understand is that he's been basically punched in the face five times now.
Alex/Jake [55:31 - 55:38]: Yeah. Pats me on top of the head with force of, like, 10 school buses.
Dallas [55:39 - 55:46]: So, like, you guys turn around and then you turn back around and they're just gone. You didn't even hear them. They're just gone.
Gotfree [55:46 - 55:47]: Where do they.
Houston [55:47 - 55:48]: I always hate it when they do that.
Gotfree [55:48 - 55:51]: Oh, I bet they rolled a one in stealth.
Alex/Jake [55:51 - 55:59]: So that's what it feels like. Sorry, I was thinking of a different franchise.
Dallas [55:59 - 56:05]: So do I need to make a Batman type character? But he talks like that normally because he's a ghoul, but when he dresses.
Houston [56:05 - 56:08]: Up, like, obviously named the Mauve Avenger.
Dallas [56:11 - 56:16]: He'S like, my name is Bruce Wayne. When he's Batman, he just talks normal like this.
Alex/Jake [56:16 - 56:38]: Where are the other drugs going? I say let's head in. They've. They've started sneaking. I think the three of us just need to start, like, calling out for Carl. That way he thinks it's us still, like, we can't let on in Any way that we know Godfrey's like. So I should call him Carlos? No, no.
Gotfree [56:38 - 56:45]: Like, no, I. I have. There has been an arc of character growth over these past.
Alex/Jake [56:46 - 56:49]: It was gonna be funny. All right, I'm gonna have to edit it now. I was just.
Houston [56:49 - 56:51]: Just don't call him Carol.
Dallas [56:51 - 56:53]: I think you leave it about that.
Alex/Jake [56:53 - 56:55]: Leave the fourth wall broken.
Dallas [56:55 - 56:55]: Okay.
Houston [56:55 - 56:56]: Excuse me.
Dallas [56:56 - 56:57]: Right. Yeah.
Gotfree [56:57 - 57:04]: I am aware of my arc of character growth, and I will keep my yap shut. It's fine. All right, let's go.
Alex/Jake [57:04 - 57:10]: So we start marching into town. Well, where are we supposed to.
Gotfree [57:10 - 57:11]: Dallas narrates it.
Alex/Jake [57:11 - 57:12]: Oh, yes.
Dallas [57:12 - 57:15]: So you guys start marching into town.
Gotfree [57:16 - 57:18]: This is oddly familiar.
Dallas [57:21 - 57:51]: Try not to a act suspicious, but also, you're. You're trying not to. To sneak, because, like, you guys have been sneaking up to this point, so you're trying to shift years doing exactly that.
Gotfree [57:51 - 57:53]: Well, ruined that.
Dallas [57:54 - 58:12]: I want that to be how you guys came into town was saying that out loud, not pretending that happened. And you guys approach. Yeah, that's how we feel in front of Carlos's house. Carlos.
Houston [58:12 - 58:19]: Manny, Breeze. Daddy.
Alex/Jake [58:20 - 58:24]: Here you go, my sweet angel. You've never done anything wrong a day in your life.
Dallas [58:27 - 58:31]: I'm gonna need you guys to roll a perception and survive.
Gotfree [58:32 - 58:33]: All three of us.
Alex/Jake [58:35 - 58:36]: Okay.
Gotfree [58:36 - 58:37]: Wait, all three of us?
Dallas [58:37 - 58:44]: Yes, all three of you. Actually, not. Not a survival. Let's see. I want. Let's see. What do I want from you guys?
Alex/Jake [58:46 - 58:50]: So we've made it through town. We passed the. The dusty bathtub.
Dallas [58:50 - 58:53]: Yeah, you guys are. Are kind of headed through the fields.
Houston [58:53 - 58:55]: We're not suspicious because we sang it.
Dallas [58:55 - 59:02]: Yeah. Nobody knows. Announces that you guys are suspicious at all. So I want you guys to roll a. An agility.
Alex/Jake [59:02 - 59:02]: Okay.
Dallas [59:02 - 59:03]: Athletics check.
Alex/Jake [59:04 - 59:04]: Okay.
Gotfree [59:05 - 59:06]: Agility in what?
Dallas [59:07 - 59:08]: In athletics.
Gotfree [59:08 - 59:20]: So, dear. I have a seven in agility and a two in athletics, so I need to roll.
Alex/Jake [59:20 - 59:22]: You are more agile and athletic than.
Gotfree [59:22 - 59:24]: I have three arms. What did you expect?
Alex/Jake [59:25 - 59:30]: That makes sense. He rolled another freaking one.
Dallas [59:30 - 59:32]: I'm done. I'm out. The episode's over.
Alex/Jake [59:33 - 59:35]: How are you cheating right now, William? Teach me.
Gotfree [59:35 - 59:39]: Well, I'm not cheating, I guess. I said there's been an arc of character growth.
Alex/Jake [59:40 - 59:40]: That's it.
Dallas [59:40 - 59:57]: He's not actually rolling. He just keeps posting the same picture of a dice with a one on it, and nobody's noticing. He makes a rolling sound and just posts a picture. He's like. And then he just clicks enter in the chat, and we're like, oh, he did it again.
Gotfree [59:58 - 1:00:01]: Game master. Money, please, for my natural word.
Dallas [1:00:03 - 1:00:06]: So I Want everybody else to roll too?
Alex/Jake [1:00:06 - 1:00:07]: Son of a.
Gotfree [1:00:08 - 1:00:09]: What?
Houston [1:00:09 - 1:00:15]: I have a 2 in agility and a 2 in perception.
Gotfree [1:00:16 - 1:00:18]: Agility and athletics.
Houston [1:00:18 - 1:00:25]: Yeah, agility and athletics. I have a one in athletics.
Dallas [1:00:25 - 1:00:26]: Oh, dear.
Gotfree [1:00:26 - 1:00:26]: It's even worse.
Dallas [1:00:26 - 1:00:27]: So you need to get.
Houston [1:00:28 - 1:00:29]: I was a theater kid.
Dallas [1:00:30 - 1:00:42]: Oh, dear. He is irradiated. Has been alive for 200 years. So he gets a pass. Actually, he doesn't get a pass. We just he a. Oh.
Alex/Jake [1:00:42 - 1:00:46]: It hovered over the one for a split second.
Houston [1:00:46 - 1:00:47]: It did.
Alex/Jake [1:00:49 - 1:00:51]: Ah, 13.
Dallas [1:00:51 - 1:00:56]: You get to roll it twice. And Godfrey still probably needs to roll again, too.
Alex/Jake [1:00:56 - 1:00:58]: I still already knew. One is done.
Dallas [1:00:59 - 1:01:03]: No, no, you still roll it. Just see, because it. Oh, but what.
Gotfree [1:01:03 - 1:01:05]: Yes. What? Gears and pistols.
Dallas [1:01:05 - 1:01:05]: Distance.
Gotfree [1:01:05 - 1:01:06]: Yes, please.
Houston [1:01:09 - 1:01:11]: I got a two for my second roll.
Dallas [1:01:11 - 1:01:16]: Oo, you did. I don't see it. It doesn't count unless it's in the box.
Alex/Jake [1:01:16 - 1:01:19]: Didn't happen in the. Oh, I. I'm going to trust him on that one.
Dallas [1:01:20 - 1:01:22]: Yeah, but I'm not. Therehere we go. 14.
Gotfree [1:01:22 - 1:01:23]: No.
Alex/Jake [1:01:23 - 1:01:35]: All right, 14. Okay. I've got to do something good here. Here we go. Just grab this Rolling a. I rolled a 1.
Dallas [1:01:35 - 1:01:40]: What in the world? Is there something wrong? I don't like this at all.
Alex/Jake [1:01:40 - 1:01:41]: I failed my first.
Dallas [1:01:41 - 1:01:43]: We're going to original D and D rules.
Alex/Jake [1:01:43 - 1:01:46]: And 11. See?
Gotfree [1:01:46 - 1:01:51]: No, you're not converging the rules of the universe. Mid roll. No, thank you.
Alex/Jake [1:01:51 - 1:01:56]: Houston failed, but he didn't do anything disastrous.
Dallas [1:01:56 - 1:01:58]: And hold on a second. It. We.
Houston [1:01:58 - 1:02:03]: We have to figure secret option third roll, and I get an 18. Okay.
Dallas [1:02:05 - 1:02:07]: So you guys are walking through.
Alex/Jake [1:02:07 - 1:02:13]: The field face first into a. Into a pat, into. Into a Brahman patty.
Houston [1:02:13 - 1:02:16]: I fall face first into a pair of scissors and just gouge my eyes out.
Alex/Jake [1:02:16 - 1:02:19]: Like you fall into a Brahmin patty. Just like.
Dallas [1:02:22 - 1:02:57]: You're not wrong. So as you guys are watching walking, you hear a. A like, crack. Cracking sound that. That Houston mistakes for one of his own joints just popping out of place as it does as a ghoul and. But you guys walking nimbly, sees that cracking sound. And what it was is Houston stepping on a trip wire and it causes a spiked kind of branch that was pulled over to swing out.
Gotfree [1:02:57 - 1:02:58]: No.
Dallas [1:02:58 - 1:03:11]: At Houston. But you guys were paying so close attention and were being so nimble that you yanked him out of the way just in time as it just misses. Just misses.
Alex/Jake [1:03:11 - 1:03:14]: Duck. I tackle.
Houston [1:03:14 - 1:03:16]: Oh, sweet baby Ray. What is that?
Alex/Jake [1:03:16 - 1:03:20]: Godfrey? And I leap across and tackle him full tilt.
Klawzinski [1:03:20 - 1:03:21]: Just.
Alex/Jake [1:03:22 - 1:03:23]: What did you step.
Gotfree [1:03:24 - 1:03:30]: Watch where you're going with all of the jerky references. Is Sweet baby Ray.
Dallas [1:03:30 - 1:03:32]: You're like expletive of choice.
Alex/Jake [1:03:34 - 1:03:43]: Watch where you're going. Houston, you bounce. You got yourself killed right there. What? Why is there a spiky tiger pit trap?
Gotfree [1:03:43 - 1:03:55]: Do we need to wait? Should we let Carl know that we're. Should we let Carl know that we're here? That way, if he has any other safeguards that he has put up since we've left the last time, he can deactivate them or help us navigate.
Alex/Jake [1:03:55 - 1:04:04]: I don't know who I'm more scared of now, Carl or the cannibals that might be out here. I mean, this is just chaos and. Watch it, Houston, you about died there.
Gotfree [1:04:04 - 1:04:08]: How. How far are we from Carl's resources? Residents.
Dallas [1:04:09 - 1:04:24]: So you guys are now kind of in the middle of one of the razor grain fields that are by his house. Sorry. There were giant death tokens on the board and I don't know why. So.
Gotfree [1:04:24 - 1:04:26]: What? What?
Dallas [1:04:26 - 1:04:42]: I don't. I don't know where they came from. I just switched tabs and there they were. So. So you guys, it's skedaddled over here and you are here. I. I'll skedaddle, you guys. I'll do your skaddling.
Alex/Jake [1:04:42 - 1:04:43]: Thanks, dad.
Dallas [1:04:48 - 1:04:51]: And so you guys are. Are walking and.
Gotfree [1:04:52 - 1:05:26]: All right, see, we are in Carl's vicinity. Let's please signal to him so he doesn't accidentally. I will call out to him in the most amicable way that I can muster. Hello, Carl. Carl, it's me, Godtry. We're back. The stragglers, 1, 2, and 3. Remember, we went on a fetch quest for you. Please deactivate any of your booby traps or things that might cause us bodily harm, please.
Alex/Jake [1:05:31 - 1:05:32]: Did he say anything?
Dallas [1:05:32 - 1:05:36]: Nothing. Nothing happens. You don't hear anything in return.
Gotfree [1:05:37 - 1:05:38]: Well.
Alex/Jake [1:05:38 - 1:05:39]: Carl.
Gotfree [1:05:39 - 1:05:40]: What?
Alex/Jake [1:05:40 - 1:05:41]: Carl.
Dallas [1:05:43 - 1:05:44]: Nothing happens.
Alex/Jake [1:05:44 - 1:05:45]: Okay?
Houston [1:05:45 - 1:05:46]: Carl.
Alex/Jake [1:05:46 - 1:05:46]: Oh, dear.
Gotfree [1:05:46 - 1:05:47]: I don't.
Dallas [1:05:47 - 1:05:49]: It's also very dark.
Alex/Jake [1:05:49 - 1:06:02]: I would like to walk up to Carl's shack very carefully and kind of like he's got. He's got like a. A perimeter fence around the front, doesn't he?
Dallas [1:06:02 - 1:06:14]: He does he. That's where he kept his single ramen. Yeah, and. But that's also where Phyllis was. Was in the corner of that.
Alex/Jake [1:06:15 - 1:06:16]: It's Phyllis.
Dallas [1:06:18 - 1:06:24]: Is she. I'm gonna need some rolls. If you're doing sneaky things, I would.
Alex/Jake [1:06:24 - 1:06:36]: Like to very calmly because again, we're not trying to be suspicious. I want to walk up to the corner of the fence. Right? Can I. Can I. Can I move myself?
Dallas [1:06:36 - 1:06:39]: Are you being sneaky? Yeah, you can move stuff.
Alex/Jake [1:06:39 - 1:06:40]: I want to walk Up.
Dallas [1:06:40 - 1:06:41]: You're being casual.
Alex/Jake [1:06:42 - 1:06:45]: Yeah, casual like, hey, that's not a roll.
Dallas [1:06:45 - 1:06:46]: It's not.
Alex/Jake [1:06:46 - 1:06:59]: Carl, are you. Are you home? And. And I don't see anything. So I just kind of gently push open the front fence gate.
Dallas [1:06:59 - 1:07:02]: Okay. So the front is on the, like the north side.
Alex/Jake [1:07:03 - 1:07:07]: So I just kind of walk around. Carl. Hey, it's. It's Jake, buddy.
Gotfree [1:07:08 - 1:07:10]: Houston, come on. Okay.
Dallas [1:07:10 - 1:07:15]: And you don't hear anything, but then the gate to that little fenced in pen is open.
Alex/Jake [1:07:16 - 1:07:18]: That's not like him.
Dallas [1:07:18 - 1:07:21]: I'm going to need you to roll for me.
Alex/Jake [1:07:21 - 1:07:22]: Oh, no.
Dallas [1:07:22 - 1:07:28]: I'm gonna need you to roll a perception five, and we'll do survival.
Alex/Jake [1:07:28 - 1:07:31]: Survival is three, so I need an eight.
Dallas [1:07:31 - 1:07:33]: Perception survival.
Alex/Jake [1:07:33 - 1:07:38]: You. We go 13.
Dallas [1:07:39 - 1:07:40]: That's not eight.
Alex/Jake [1:07:40 - 1:07:44]: That is not eight. But I get. It's a 2D20.
Dallas [1:07:44 - 1:07:45]: It is.
Alex/Jake [1:07:47 - 1:07:48]: Oh, no.
Dallas [1:07:49 - 1:07:50]: I need everybody to roll this one.
Gotfree [1:07:51 - 1:07:52]: Perception and what?
Dallas [1:07:52 - 1:07:55]: Perception and survival 19.
Alex/Jake [1:07:55 - 1:08:01]: Yeah, he's still got Brahman Patty on his eyes. Wipe your face.
Houston [1:08:01 - 1:08:06]: Oh, what the Jack links.
Dallas [1:08:06 - 1:08:09]: I'll just tuck that one in for later.
Alex/Jake [1:08:10 - 1:08:11]: No.
Houston [1:08:15 - 1:08:16]: Lord managua, help me.
Alex/Jake [1:08:16 - 1:08:20]: A19. William Godfrey.
Gotfree [1:08:22 - 1:08:23]: Oh, four.
Alex/Jake [1:08:23 - 1:08:24]: A4. A4.
Gotfree [1:08:24 - 1:08:26]: I needed a9 or.
Dallas [1:08:26 - 1:08:44]: Or lower or better. Yeah. So you guys, as you're casually walking up and peeking around, Houston steps on a very large stick and it cracks.
Houston [1:08:44 - 1:08:47]: Super loud and get mauled by a bear.
Dallas [1:08:49 - 1:09:28]: And as he. He steps on it and it makes a huge crack, it kind of flings up similar to how the trap did, but this is just a. A stick in the ground. And it does hit Houston fairly hard in the face and causes him to lose one. One health point. Kind of very, you know, stepping on a rake kind of deal here. So we're going to just take 1.1hp from that. So you now have 13 when you did have 14. I am so sorry.
Alex/Jake [1:09:28 - 1:09:30]: Well, that sucks.
Dallas [1:09:30 - 1:09:49]: But as you guys are casually walking up that way, Godfrey hears what sounds dead on. He's assuming that it may actually be a real bird. He hears a bird chirping in the distance.
Houston [1:09:50 - 1:09:51]: And as we all know, that is.
Dallas [1:09:51 - 1:09:53]: In fact the word that is true.
Gotfree [1:09:54 - 1:09:57]: Was that master wing. Was that the signal?
Alex/Jake [1:09:57 - 1:10:02]: I didn't. I. I didn't hear anything. With like that whippoorwill thing.
Gotfree [1:10:02 - 1:10:03]: Yes.
Alex/Jake [1:10:04 - 1:10:05]: I don't know.
Gotfree [1:10:05 - 1:10:10]: Jeremy didn't demonstrate what his bird sounded like before we split up. He did.
Alex/Jake [1:10:10 - 1:10:11]: I wasn't paying any attention.
Gotfree [1:10:12 - 1:10:13]: He did not.
Alex/Jake [1:10:13 - 1:10:17]: Oh, okay, good. I wasn't paying attention. So if he had, I didn't hear it.
Dallas [1:10:17 - 1:10:27]: Here's a little lore fact. Birds aren't really a thing anymore in the wasteland. So hearing a bird, they are actually a rare occurrence.
Houston [1:10:27 - 1:10:29]: They are actually drones.
Gotfree [1:10:31 - 1:10:33]: All right, timeout.
Dallas [1:10:33 - 1:10:33]: What did.
Gotfree [1:10:33 - 1:10:39]: What did Jeremy say? He was going to make the bird noise when they were safely hidden.
Dallas [1:10:39 - 1:10:44]: Whenever he had found his brothers and they were together, like they had linked up.
Gotfree [1:10:45 - 1:10:46]: Oh, he has the brothers.
Dallas [1:10:46 - 1:10:52]: And you guys will signal with your own bird sound that they will then.
Alex/Jake [1:10:52 - 1:10:54]: Ambush when we have Carl.
Dallas [1:10:54 - 1:10:58]: Yeah. And you guys are ready for him to come in. For them to come in.
Gotfree [1:10:58 - 1:10:59]: I'm so nervous.
Alex/Jake [1:11:02 - 1:11:06]: You heard. You heard the boys? Is that what you're saying?
Gotfree [1:11:06 - 1:11:06]: I did.
Alex/Jake [1:11:07 - 1:11:07]: I didn't hear it.
Gotfree [1:11:07 - 1:11:20]: I did. Now that I am aware that there are no avian creatures left in this wasteland, the only explanation could have been that Jeremy has linked up with his brothers. We just have to find Carl.
Alex/Jake [1:11:20 - 1:11:26]: That makes sense. That makes sense. Okay, Carl. Oh, wait, wait. Should I be yelling for Carl?
Dallas [1:11:26 - 1:11:28]: You guys have been, I think. Right.
Gotfree [1:11:28 - 1:11:33]: I'm going to go ahead and step into his courtyard. He. Yeah. Or is this his house?
Dallas [1:11:33 - 1:11:38]: That's his. That is like a little. That's where. Barn attachment to his house.
Gotfree [1:11:39 - 1:11:41]: What are you doing? Come on.
Alex/Jake [1:11:41 - 1:11:47]: Okay, okay, I'm going to. So Godfrey starts walking in. I walk in behind him, and there.
Dallas [1:11:47 - 1:11:49]: Is a front entrance to his house as well.
Alex/Jake [1:11:49 - 1:11:59]: I walk in through the little vestibule entryway, and there's. It looks like an empty cot and a computer terminal.
Dallas [1:11:59 - 1:12:00]: What are you doing, Houston?
Houston [1:12:00 - 1:12:01]: I'm trying to follow them.
Dallas [1:12:01 - 1:12:02]: I gotcha.
Alex/Jake [1:12:02 - 1:12:13]: So we're in his. It looks like his bedroom, and he's got a terminal here and a cot and not much else.
Gotfree [1:12:13 - 1:12:15]: Can I. Can I interface with the terminal?
Dallas [1:12:16 - 1:12:22]: You can. Do you guys. You guys want to kind of search the area, or do you want to search the terminal?
Gotfree [1:12:22 - 1:12:24]: Well, I did do now.
Dallas [1:12:24 - 1:12:25]: Or do you want to search the terminal?
Houston [1:12:25 - 1:12:28]: I'm looking for. I'm looking in all of the drawers.
Dallas [1:12:28 - 1:12:30]: Okay. So you want to do a roll for me?
Houston [1:12:30 - 1:12:31]: Okay, sure.
Dallas [1:12:31 - 1:12:35]: This one's gonna be a perception and survival.
Houston [1:12:37 - 1:12:38]: 15.
Dallas [1:12:38 - 1:12:42]: 15. Not the best.
Houston [1:12:44 - 1:12:45]: And a three.
Alex/Jake [1:12:45 - 1:12:46]: And three.
Dallas [1:12:46 - 1:13:02]: Oh, you did it. So as human, Houston is scouring through the drawers and looking under the mattress, he does find a holotape that has your All's names on it.
Alex/Jake [1:13:03 - 1:13:04]: What?
Dallas [1:13:04 - 1:13:08]: Guys, it was in one of the drawers by the terminal.
Houston [1:13:09 - 1:13:10]: I found something.
Alex/Jake [1:13:10 - 1:13:12]: Is that a holotape?
Houston [1:13:12 - 1:13:15]: It's. Yeah, look what's on it?
Gotfree [1:13:15 - 1:13:16]: Oh, no, that's us.
Alex/Jake [1:13:17 - 1:13:34]: Well, it's to us. He loves us like we're his besties in town. Duh. Well, Game master does. Does Godfrey have a built in holotape player or do we need to use the terminal to play this?
Dallas [1:13:34 - 1:13:44]: All terminals are equipped to play Holotapes. And for those playing at home, Holotapes are kind of cassette shaped, but they can be. They play audio.
Alex/Jake [1:13:44 - 1:13:46]: I also have a pip boy, do I not?
Dallas [1:13:46 - 1:13:52]: You do also have a pip boy that also can play Holotapes, but they also can have computer programming in them.
Alex/Jake [1:13:52 - 1:14:18]: Oh, all right, that's a good point. Because I've played Grognak the Barbarian on there and Invaders. What I don't want to have happen is he destroys plants. Some kind of virus or something. Godfrey, can you and inspect the terminal? Because you're the best at interfacing with technology. Can you see if there's anything on there before we risk putting a mysterious holotape in there?
Gotfree [1:14:18 - 1:14:19]: Yes, of course.
Dallas [1:14:19 - 1:14:29]: So I'm gonna need a roll. I'm going to ask for you to give me an intelligence plus science.
Gotfree [1:14:30 - 1:14:41]: I have three in science and a seven in intelligence. So I need a 10 or better, which I rolled. A 10?
Alex/Jake [1:14:41 - 1:14:42]: A 10?
Dallas [1:14:42 - 1:14:46]: Yes, bare minimum requirements.
Alex/Jake [1:14:47 - 1:14:48]: And another 10.
Dallas [1:14:48 - 1:14:50]: And a 10. What?
Houston [1:14:50 - 1:14:52]: You are average.
Gotfree [1:14:52 - 1:14:56]: If I wore pants, it would be by the seat of them.
Dallas [1:15:00 - 1:15:04]: So what were you trying to do? I. I was looking at what skill I would.
Alex/Jake [1:15:04 - 1:15:05]: Terminal.
Gotfree [1:15:05 - 1:15:09]: Can I coerce the coaxial cables to do my bidding?
Dallas [1:15:09 - 1:15:16]: You can. So you, you can log into this terminal. It doesn't look like it's password protected.
Gotfree [1:15:17 - 1:15:18]: People, people.
Dallas [1:15:18 - 1:15:26]: Plus you check it and you don't see any like traps or virusey kind of things. Things in the terminal itself.
Alex/Jake [1:15:28 - 1:15:30]: Any information on there that we could use?
Dallas [1:15:33 - 1:15:36]: It looks like it is wiped clean.
Alex/Jake [1:15:36 - 1:15:42]: All right, so we're not going to risk destroying anything if we put this virus.
Gotfree [1:15:43 - 1:15:48]: Pass the polotape over here, please and thank you.
Dallas [1:15:50 - 1:15:53]: So, Houston, you have the holiday.
Gotfree [1:15:53 - 1:15:54]: Hold on.
Houston [1:15:54 - 1:15:57]: I was like zoned out there for a second.
Gotfree [1:15:57 - 1:16:07]: I slowly swivel every around to the front with an open palm. Pick a hand, anyone? Auntie, please.
Alex/Jake [1:16:10 - 1:16:17]: I want to get a Ben Schwartz cameo on. Cameo? And just have him say that. Holotape. I bet he would do it for free.
Gotfree [1:16:17 - 1:16:20]: Honestly, Jake Winger is the worst.
Alex/Jake [1:16:25 - 1:16:40]: Carlos Mendoza is the. I mean, Crazy Carl. All right, so we now have the Holotape. Putting it in the terminal.
Dallas [1:16:41 - 1:16:52]: So you put it in and an audio file whirs to life. And you hear hear a voice that you have never heard before.
Crazy Carl [1:16:52 - 1:17:03]: Hello, boys. It looks like you guys have found my tape. And it looks like you guys have stumbled upon my secret.
Alex/Jake [1:17:04 - 1:17:05]: Why is He Russian.
Dallas [1:17:06 - 1:17:08]: His name is Carlos Mendoza.
Alex/Jake [1:17:09 - 1:17:11]: Yeah, very famous Russian last name.
Dallas [1:17:11 - 1:17:12]: Clearly Russ Obvious.
Houston [1:17:13 - 1:17:16]: I was thinking Count from Transylvania, but.
Alex/Jake [1:17:16 - 1:17:20]: What do I know? Maybe I would have given you that.
Dallas [1:17:20 - 1:17:29]: Like, why would you assume a Mendoza 200 years in the future? In a. Yeah, I can't. We'll risk getting shut down.
Alex/Jake [1:17:29 - 1:17:30]: Okay. Okay. Well, do.
Dallas [1:17:30 - 1:17:34]: He's in the. He's in the vault. Why are you guys assuming I have.
Gotfree [1:17:34 - 1:17:42]: My finger firmly on the pause button? I'm like, are you two done? And then I lift it off to here.
Dallas [1:17:42 - 1:17:49]: There was a weird pause there for a while, too, while you guys were bantering back and forth. Like he almost knew that you guys were going to do that.
Crazy Carl [1:17:52 - 1:18:18]: Hello, boys. It looks like you guys have filmed the tape. And if you found the tape, it means that you probably know what's going on and the up is the jig. You know who I am now. And you probably know that Fearless is not what you probably thought Fearless was. I had Power Core whole time.
Gotfree [1:18:18 - 1:18:20]: You son of monster.
Houston [1:18:21 - 1:18:22]: Big gasp.
Crazy Carl [1:18:22 - 1:19:08]: But I needed you boys to get out of my hair. You're good boys. You took care of me. You took care of town. But you guys are also kind of stragglers. So I did not want you guys to get caught in crossfire and to interfere and intervene in my. I knew when you left and I knew based on seeing the lights that the boys were on to me. So me and Felis have skedaddled away by the time you guys have found this. If there are not dead super mutants in front yard, then I have spared their lives and they had not seen me leave. Do not follow me. Do not try to figure out what I going to do. It is for the greater good.
Alex/Jake [1:19:09 - 1:19:10]: I want to know what he's doing.
Crazy Carl [1:19:10 - 1:19:36]: That Klosinski was getting a little too close. And he was about to find out who I was in communication with involved. So, boys, I will see you later. And you know what? I think I might keep this accent and use it again someday if it worked out pretty good. So, boys, keep it glancing now, y'all.
Dallas [1:19:36 - 1:19:38]: And then the tape ends.
Alex/Jake [1:19:39 - 1:19:43]: A little tiny wisp of smoke starts trailing up.
Gotfree [1:19:43 - 1:19:45]: Wait, wait, wait, wait.
Alex/Jake [1:19:52 - 1:19:53]: Are you hurrying?
Dallas [1:19:53 - 1:19:56]: He's gonna pounce. He's gonna pounce like a cat.
Gotfree [1:19:56 - 1:19:57]: No, I'm being rewinding.
Houston [1:19:58 - 1:19:59]: He's rewinding.
Dallas [1:19:59 - 1:20:02]: Done. He's being kind.
Gotfree [1:20:02 - 1:20:04]: I was being kind.
Dallas [1:20:05 - 1:20:09]: Hugh Godfrey, I'm gonna need you to do roll for me.
Gotfree [1:20:09 - 1:20:10]: For what?
Dallas [1:20:11 - 1:20:12]: I'm going to need you.
Houston [1:20:12 - 1:20:13]: Jeez.
Alex/Jake [1:20:13 - 1:20:15]: Assassin. The game master.
Dallas [1:20:15 - 1:20:30]: I know you're gonna have to Roll a zero. So go ahead. For Assassin, the game master, I'm gonna need you to roll a. An intelligence and survival.
Gotfree [1:20:33 - 1:20:35]: Well, I needed a nine. I got a nine.
Alex/Jake [1:20:35 - 1:20:40]: That was anticlimactic that you rolled before I even asked. 9.
Gotfree [1:20:40 - 1:20:52]: I was like, he was good. I'm going to need an intelligence. Wait a minute. He has a seven in intelligence and he rolled a nine. Which one has three? I rolled nine.
Dallas [1:20:52 - 1:21:03]: What Godfrey did is what I would do in Fallout sometimes where I would over explore and get items beforehand. And somebody would be like, I need this thing. And I'd be like, it just so happens that I already had it in.
Alex/Jake [1:21:03 - 1:21:04]: My hand the whole time.
Dallas [1:21:05 - 1:21:36]: Okay, you completed the quest. So he got a nine. There was a wisp of smoke that started to come out of the holotape deck, but. But Godfrey's deft pincers. He doesn't really have fingers. Was able to run some code super fast and halted the self destruct sequence on. Did you sassly move a clamp like a pincer hand?
Alex/Jake [1:21:36 - 1:21:38]: No, that was the cattail.
Dallas [1:21:40 - 1:22:05]: I didn't know. I just could see that. I thought you were being Sassy Godfrey. So for those of you listening, my cat walked across the, like, front of my computer and just the tail and I just saw everybody like waggling their hands. Prompted.
Alex/Jake [1:22:05 - 1:22:07]: It's gonna be a great video, but.
Dallas [1:22:07 - 1:22:54]: It won't be for being Sassy Godfrey. I was very wrong. Get the shark back in the water. No more jumping sharks. So you chaggity, chaggity, chaggity, chaggity the computer and stopped the self destruct sequence on the holotape and you were able to glimpse very quickly a map before it degraded and it looked like somewhere south of Michigan. There was a point pinpointed on this green map, maybe a few states away, but it was definitely south and maybe a little to the east of where you guys are. How far south and east? You're not sure.
Alex/Jake [1:22:54 - 1:22:58]: It looked like maybe a mountain range or something.
Dallas [1:22:59 - 1:23:00]: Who's to say?
Houston [1:23:00 - 1:23:07]: And the sun shines bright My old Kentucky home.
Dallas [1:23:07 - 1:23:15]: Yes, on your left nipple. For those of you playing at home, Alex is wearing a shirt of the United States.
Alex/Jake [1:23:15 - 1:23:16]: That is my left nipple.
Dallas [1:23:17 - 1:23:18]: I know. There it is.
Alex/Jake [1:23:20 - 1:23:20]: That is my left.
Dallas [1:23:20 - 1:23:24]: He's not even wearing a shirt, guys. It's tattooed onto his chest.
Gotfree [1:23:24 - 1:23:27]: No, his left nipple is shaped like Kentucky.
Dallas [1:23:27 - 1:23:57]: It is. There's nothing else there. So you guys, you saw a glimpse of this map and there was a pinpoint somewhere to the sample in east. Who knows how far? Who knows if take Me home what he saw and triangulate maybe a little closer. Who knows? But that may be information that you would want to share at some point. Who knows?
Alex/Jake [1:23:57 - 1:24:20]: So we've seen this map. We now know that Carlos Carl has been aware that we were unaware that. And now we are aware the whole time. And he's skipped town. The boys are safe. I think we need to call them in and then we can I guess head to Harrison at this point.
Dallas [1:24:20 - 1:24:26]: Also, before the screen went completely blank, four numbers flashed on the screen.
Alex/Jake [1:24:26 - 1:24:27]: Okay.
Dallas [1:24:28 - 1:24:35]: 16:42, 7:12. 16:42, 7 12.
Alex/Jake [1:24:36 - 1:24:50]: 16:42, 7, 12. This feels like like the code to a hatch on an island after a plane crash. But I just can't like, you know.
Dallas [1:24:50 - 1:24:53]: If you guys ever get lost, who knows what'll happen?
Alex/Jake [1:24:53 - 1:24:54]: Who knows?
Houston [1:24:55 - 1:24:57]: So what happened on July 12, 1642?
Alex/Jake [1:24:58 - 1:25:01]: Columbus sailed the ocean blue. Of course.
Gotfree [1:25:01 - 1:25:07]: And how far back in my memory logs do I keep record of what I've seen visually?
Dallas [1:25:07 - 1:25:31]: You, if you are recording, you have like play by play, moment by moment. You can scrub back and forth. But if you have were not in recording mode, it would be just like general memory, most of it. Some things may not be as clear as as you would like. It would really depend on how lucky you got.
Gotfree [1:25:31 - 1:25:33]: I would like to spend a lot point.
Dallas [1:25:33 - 1:25:34]: Okay.
Gotfree [1:25:35 - 1:25:50]: And I. I would like to recall every single detail about that map that I have witnessed that I can recommend. Reproduce it with pinpoint accuracy.
Dallas [1:25:51 - 1:26:10]: Okay. So you can do that, but it is going to take your processor some time to kind of wheel that up. So you can do that. Your processor can do that, but it is going to take some time. So that's going to have to be like a background process that runs.
Gotfree [1:26:10 - 1:26:21]: That's perfectly fair. Now, is this going to impede my ability to do any of my other executive functioning while. No, that bit of my processor is tied up doing that. All right, perfect.
Dallas [1:26:21 - 1:26:43]: Just running in the background and, and the more other like if it is in the background, you're not focusing on that, it will take a little bit longer. So if there are any lulls or anything, you could spool it up faster. But you cannot perceive as well if you're going to be doing that. And for anybody that's wondering, I made all of that up.
Alex/Jake [1:26:43 - 1:26:50]: I love that. Oh, that's the best way to do it. So he will have it in time.
Gotfree [1:26:51 - 1:26:58]: Yes, I will be able to reproduce that map in due course, but I, alas, I, I cannot in this moment.
Dallas [1:26:58 - 1:27:00]: Right. So what are you guys wanting to do next?
Alex/Jake [1:27:00 - 1:27:09]: Well, I Think what we need to do is we need to go use our. Use our signal to summon the boys and then head to Harrison. What do you guys say?
Houston [1:27:10 - 1:27:19]: Fine. Fine. I'll go do it. I'll signal the birds. I'm the only. The boys. I'm the only one here who's actually seen a bird, so.
Alex/Jake [1:27:19 - 1:27:21]: All right, let's lay it. Lay it on me, please.
Houston [1:27:22 - 1:27:26]: Hi, I'm a bird. Say hi to your mother for me.
Alex/Jake [1:27:26 - 1:27:48]: No, that's not what a bird. Okay, okay. It's more like. It's more like a. No, that's a Brahmin. I haven't seen a bird. It's like a. No, that.
Houston [1:27:49 - 1:27:58]: What your reference comes from a movie with puppets. You can't trust everything you see on the view screens.
Alex/Jake [1:27:58 - 1:28:00]: That's close, right?
Gotfree [1:28:00 - 1:28:02]: No, you imbeciles.
Alex/Jake [1:28:04 - 1:28:06]: No, no, no. That's cheating.
Gotfree [1:28:07 - 1:28:08]: That's cheating.
Alex/Jake [1:28:08 - 1:28:09]: It's more like.
Gotfree [1:28:11 - 1:28:17]: Perfect recreation because it's an audio anyways. Oh, look, look.
Dallas [1:28:18 - 1:28:20]: As. As you guys are.
Alex/Jake [1:28:20 - 1:28:20]: Are.
Dallas [1:28:20 - 1:28:27]: Are arguing, the ground starts to shake. And you look around and it looks like.
Gotfree [1:28:27 - 1:28:29]: Oh, is that. Is that Jeremy?
Dallas [1:28:29 - 1:29:12]: The trash pile that was by your all's workshop has come to life and is moving towards you. And as it gets closer, you realize that it is all seven of the super mutants and full tilt running your. Your direction. And they look like they're in a panic. Like, this does not look like what a surprise attack would be. And they run past Godfrey, and one of them picks up Houston, one of them picks up Jake, and they start kind of patting around and start what looks like a crude Heimlich maneuver on both of them. And they're in a panic and they're looking around.
Alex/Jake [1:29:12 - 1:29:16]: Put me down. Put me down. Put me down.
Klawzinski [1:29:18 - 1:29:37]: Little junkie man. Are you okay? It sounded like maybe you were choking. Sounded like maybe you were shot in throat. We panic, is scared. Maybe Carlos attacked early. Not able to get bird sound. So we. We panic.
Alex/Jake [1:29:37 - 1:29:41]: Put. Put me down. Quit squeezing me like that.
Dallas [1:29:41 - 1:29:47]: Jeremy tries to, like, pull your mouth open with his giant wet fingers.
Houston [1:29:49 - 1:29:50]: It was a joke.
Dallas [1:29:51 - 1:29:54]: Is doing the same to Houston. And you can hear Houston's jaw pop.
Alex/Jake [1:29:56 - 1:29:57]: That was a joke.
Gotfree [1:29:58 - 1:29:59]: Sweep it out, Jeremy.
Alex/Jake [1:29:59 - 1:30:00]: Sweep it out of my mouth.
Gotfree [1:30:00 - 1:30:02]: There's obviously something large.
Klawzinski [1:30:02 - 1:30:10]: I don't see what wrong. You okay? You sound choking. You sound hurt. Carlos here? Was Carlos here? Where? Phyllis?
Gotfree [1:30:10 - 1:30:29]: They unfortunately have skadoodled. They're not here. I regret to inform you we did find a map and some sort of code on his terminal in his establishment, but he has left maybe we bring.
Klawzinski [1:30:29 - 1:30:42]: That to Clauses Kozinski. Maybe he know what to do. But we need to now go north to see Kozinski. Least brother safe. Least little peanut, little tin man, little jerky man safe.
Alex/Jake [1:30:43 - 1:30:48]: I was safer without your fingers down my throat. But here we are.
Houston [1:30:48 - 1:30:52]: I like how I'm their favorite author now I'm just little jerky man.
Klawzinski [1:30:54 - 1:30:57]: Also, you not have to bite so hard.
Alex/Jake [1:30:57 - 1:30:59]: Now we have Boo Boo.
Dallas [1:30:59 - 1:31:10]: And there's like tears. Tears are in Jeremy's eyes. Like he looks not only physically hurt, but a little emotionally hurt as well.
Alex/Jake [1:31:10 - 1:31:13]: I didn't bite. Did you bite, Houston?
Houston [1:31:13 - 1:31:14]: No.
Dallas [1:31:15 - 1:31:18]: No. I mean, he did have his fingers all the way in your mouth.
Houston [1:31:18 - 1:31:23]: I mean, it was. Might have been an involvement. Voluntary reflex.
Dallas [1:31:24 - 1:32:26]: So as you guys are kind of gathering yourself together, you hear a rumble in the distance, a mechanical sound. And you look up and it looks like a vertibird way off into the distance, heading north. But on the bottom of it is a red and green light that you can barely move make out from where you guys are. And as it's flying, one of the rotors kind of bounces and a little smoke comes out of it. And something sounds like maybe it had broken off inside of the housing of where the. The jets kind of push out the bottom. And it's making like a rattling jingling sound as it passes kind of going from like east to northwest towards Harrison. And so the boys let you know.
Klawzinski [1:32:27 - 1:32:40]: That Klawczynski Vertibird, he steal from Brotherhood of Steel. He sometimes use it get around fast when time name is of essence.
Alex/Jake [1:32:40 - 1:32:45]: Yeah. And he has to deliver presents to all the children of the world that.
Klawzinski [1:32:45 - 1:32:48]: That myth that sometimes not true.
Alex/Jake [1:32:48 - 1:32:49]: Sometimes.
Houston [1:32:49 - 1:32:49]: Sometimes.
Alex/Jake [1:32:49 - 1:32:50]: I'm sorry.
Dallas [1:32:50 - 1:32:51]: This all just.
Alex/Jake [1:32:51 - 1:33:00]: Did you just realize that it was sleigh bells? Did you just realize for once I'm not the slow one? Oh, no.
Dallas [1:33:00 - 1:33:01]: Do we need to check on this fudge?
Gotfree [1:33:01 - 1:33:07]: But it doesn't appear to be functioning appropriately. No, it's just. Something's broken. It's jingling.
Dallas [1:33:08 - 1:33:36]: I said rattling. Then I said j. Oh, gosh. And so the. The brothers, they all kind of get up in a hustle because their leader, their overseer, is going to be getting to the town well before you guys. And there are still cannibals out there that follow the cult of the.
Alex/Jake [1:33:37 - 1:34:12]: Have. Have we. I just. I want to take 30 seconds right now. I'm going to take exactly 30 seconds. So we initially leave town to find cannibals. We go to then run into the Brotherhood of Steel. They tell us about A robot that can rip our heads off. And we could send them back to them. We then wind up finding said robot robot. That robot bails on us. Turns out to be a roaring. Gets us in touch with a Santa Claus inspired super mutant.
Dallas [1:34:14 - 1:34:15]: That was 30 seconds.
Alex/Jake [1:34:15 - 1:34:26]: And that was 30 seconds and we're here. That was it. That's it. That's all we've done. All of our friends have betrayed us. Jeremy, are you gonna betray us?
Houston [1:34:26 - 1:34:27]: Jeremy would never.
Alex/Jake [1:34:27 - 1:34:40]: Jeremy, I swear to the Atom, if you betray us, Jeremy, I won't do anything because you're much bigger than me. But I'm gonna be very hurt. Okay? Do not betray me, Jeremy.
Klawzinski [1:34:40 - 1:34:43]: Cross heart. I given you sacred boop.
Alex/Jake [1:34:44 - 1:34:47]: Ow. Okay, you know what?
Dallas [1:34:47 - 1:34:58]: My eyes are watering you on the nose. And where he would assume a robot thought snows would be, he just boobs kind of the middle of your dome in between.
Gotfree [1:35:00 - 1:35:01]: Please.
Houston [1:35:01 - 1:35:03]: I just want to know what's in that dome.
Alex/Jake [1:35:03 - 1:35:08]: My eyes are watering again. It's so firm on my nose. You guys all right?
Klawzinski [1:35:09 - 1:35:10]: Like family now.
Houston [1:35:10 - 1:35:11]: I thought it tickled.
Klawzinski [1:35:11 - 1:35:23]: Because you help us, we help you. We in it for a long time, hopefully. Unless cannibal eat you. And then we not. Long time, short time.
Alex/Jake [1:35:23 - 1:35:26]: This is gonna be such a wild episode to edit.
Dallas [1:35:26 - 1:35:54]: I know. We're getting our feet wet again. It's all right. So that. That is the end of this episode. They you guys, the stragglers and the brothers. Heading north in the dark on a long and dusty road. Heading out to Seaweed. And I don't know if you guys remember this, but in the town that you're headed to, you have an ally that was there. Yeah, you do.
Alex/Jake [1:35:54 - 1:35:55]: Robert Short.
Dallas [1:35:55 - 1:35:59]: So maybe we'll find out if Robert. What's going on with Robert? He's still.
Alex/Jake [1:35:59 - 1:36:00]: I miss Robert.
Dallas [1:36:00 - 1:36:04]: Hanging out in the library. See what's he up to. These.
Alex/Jake [1:36:04 - 1:36:06]: Having fun. Is it hard? Yeah.
Dallas [1:36:07 - 1:36:12]: So we'll see what happens on the next episode of of the Big Red Button.
Alex/Jake [1:36:12 - 1:36:36]: Well, if you've made it this far, we're so glad you've been along. Wild wild ride. The Big Red Button is a production of the Grapefruit Network. We have a couple sister shows. We have a doctor and a lawyer walk into a bar. That is our pop culture chat show. And we have Potter plus, which is our Harry Potter deep dive.
Gotfree [1:36:36 - 1:36:55]: Harry Potter deep Dive indeed. Yes. As of the release of this episode, probably. I've had some really fun interviews. Dallas came on the show. We talked fandoms, jumping to the small screen. And then I had a fan fiction author come on and talk about playing in that sandbox and expanded upon stories.
Alex/Jake [1:36:55 - 1:37:50]: And how that can and not to date ourselves but by the time that this comes out, we should be rolling out with our March Madness coming back to doctor and Warrior. So if if you like like other the four of us sport in different ways, we are doing our March Movie Madness bracket again where we have a round of 32, round of 16 down to the elite eight final four and championship of our favorite movies. This year's bracket is beep. And I'm blurring that out because you need to go discover for yourself on the rest of the Grapefruit Network. So with that this has been big red button. I have been your slightly less gaslit friend Jake.
Houston [1:37:50 - 1:37:52]: I just want to know what's in that dome.
Gotfree [1:37:53 - 1:37:57]: I have not been suspicious and I've.
Dallas [1:37:57 - 1:38:01]: Been Carlos Mendoza and also your overseer.
Alex/Jake [1:38:02 - 1:38:05]: We will see you next time.
Gotfree [1:38:05 - 1:38:05]: Bye.
